Will Phil heath skip the Olympia now?
« on: March 02, 2008, 12:05:30 AM »
After his outstanding shape in the terrific lighting at the Ironman, Phil Heath looked unbeatable.

Today, he looked very beatable in a few of the poses, by more guys than just Dexter.  He's a top ten Olympian, but I don't think people will be spekaing of him as they have ("He's gonna win the O this year", etc).

Will he do a few spring shows now and rack up checks and exposure?
Will he hold off on any more shows and look to gain muscle on torso, waiting to compete at the O?
Will he skip the Olympia AGAIN and "focus on making improvements"?

He looks incredible, but he skipped the Olympia last year so he could move up at the Arnold from 5th to second.  Nice thought, but he could have easily been top 10 or even 6 at the O last year, and his 2008 placing won't be that much better.  He's not going to beat Dex, Vic (if he does it), Jay, or Dennis Wolf.

no, that was a while back in a fine establishment.  Tonight's place was fun, don't get me wrong.  At biker bars, you get a lot of drunk rowdy people.  They dance, they sing, they show boobs, they make out, they do all sorts of trashy things.  It's very entertaining.  You just have to be careful not to step in broken beer bottles (3 tonight that I counted) and dont touch anything in the restroom.

I think he should do the Mr O, trying to maintain his weight but being more riped. He could easy be top 6. Then taking the whole year of to pack on some more mass to the next Mr o, witch he need. I would say 10 more pound, to be a contender for the title. But if Victor make some progress I think he would be hard to beat as long as he decide continue doing competitions. Kai Green seems to make progress fast like hell to, He's back, ham/glute leg and arms condition was the best at ASC...

Is it the common sense of Bodybuilding to skip a contest as long until you're sure you'll win?? ??? If everybody thought that there would be maybe 2 guys on the Olympia stage every year.... ::)

Agree with Mr.15.

Time to get in the mix even though his best years are ahead of him. Even Jay and Ronnie placed out of the top ten, even as low as 15th in a couple different O's but climbed up to the top spot eventually.  ;)
