All Americans that are sitting in a desk chair or serving our country overseas/conus have a right to express an opinion or pass judgement. We're not passing judgement if he's doing his job correctly as a Marine or his duty/devotion to his country....we're saying that animal abuse is bullshit no matter where he is at the moment. This is unbecoming of a Marine. His NCO's, Superior Officer's, your Congressmen/women, & the President of the United States will not tolerate this kind of behavior.

animal abusers are five times more likely to commit violent crimes against people and four times more likely to commit property crimes than are individuals without a history of animal abuse. (not exactly what we need in the military or in Iraq)

The FBI has recognized the connection since the 1970s, when its analysis of the lives of serial killers suggested that most had killed or tortured animals as children. Other research has shown consistent patterns of animal cruelty among perpetrators of more common forms of violence, including child abuse, spouse abuse, and elder abuse. In fact, the American Psychiatric Association considers animal cruelty one of the diagnostic criteria of conduct disorder.
