My goals are to hit the following numbers drug free after having a full ACL reconstruction 10 months ago.

I plan to compete in 100% RAW in 2009 at 220 pounds and i'm shooting for the following.

Squat - 545
Bench - 495
Deadlift - 585

Not much compared to what i've done in the past, but i'm still coming back from an injury and plan on being drug free for life.

"It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength his body is capable of" - Socrates

UPDATE!

Raw gym lifts: @ +/- 230 pounds

Squat - 390x5 reps

Bench - 460(paused)

Deadlift - 515 (belt only)

Not bad, at least i'm moving forward after this stupid surgery. Deadlift should go up soon, the 515 pull was rather easy.

Heres my goals for 2008:

-Qualify for nationals. - I was about 1 point away from this one!
-Take first in a gold or platinum level competition. - I was about 5 points away from this one  :P
-Deadlift 700+lbs and OHP 350+lbs - Got 325 on an oly bar. Next I try the log
-80ft under a minute with 800+lb Yoke - Gonna try this one next Saturday
-350lbs/hand Farmers for 80ft.

Not bad for only one competition this year, I guess. I have one more in 3 weeks that will be 5x harder than the last. I WILL get that yoke weight/time and will at least get damn close to the 350lb OHP.  >:(

Sure:

I did my first full meet in a long time last month.  It went good, not as good as I'd like, but it was still good.

I went:  squat:  605 (super easy), 690 (easy too), 775 (missed, shoe collapsed, rolled my ankle, bailed)
bench:  455 (easy), 515 (got out of my groove for some reason), 515 (good lift)
deadlift 455 (easy), 500, 545 (just missed locking)

total: 1705 @ SHW in single ply gear.

In retrospect I opened too light with all of my weights in this meet because I was nervous about the gear (I've done way more competitions RAW than I have in gear) and just keeping things together.  Most of all I was able to spend the day going through a full meet without my diabetes getting in the way.  My glucose levels stayed pretty much stable, and didn't divebomb, forcing me to pull out, which in all honesty, I was afraid might happen.

I'm looking at a meet in November where I hope to go 780, 585, 585 (1900 to 1950 total) in single ply gear  or so.   We'll see how things go with work this summer.  If I don't make the meet this fall, I'll probably do one in Feb or so next spring.  It depends on the schedule.

Yeah right.....  I've been buried with work.  I've at least got outlines nad literature pulled for the articles, but nothing submitted for publication as of yet.  Hopefully I'll fix that soon enough.

Just got home from second meet of the year (at SHW, single ply gear):

Squat:
opener: 675 (easy)
2nd:  765 (easy, but I felt like I was going to loose my balance, three reds for too shallow)
3rd: 765 3 greens, I think  I should have gone up, maybe over 800.  Then again, its better to be conservative, than do something stupid.

Bench:
Opener: 500 (easy)   3 greens
2nd: 545 3 greens
3rd: 585 --three reds....  This was frustrating because my handoff guy touched the bar, but he was doing his job.  I picked him due to experience and strength.  He saw that I started to windmill the right side, he reached for the bar right as I powered out of it.  I hit his hand as I was going past midrange to locking out, giving me 3 reds.   >:(   >:(   >:(   >:(    I can't be angry about this.   Like i said, He did his job.  In my mind, I benched 585 in a meet.  Now I just need to do it again and get it legitimate.   ;D

4th attempt on bench due to spotter technicality: 585  3 reds.  Too tanked, right arm hit upright and missed lockout barely.    >:(

Deadlift:
opener: 500  3 greens This was the easiest I've ever pulled 500.  Ever....
2nd:  545 3 greens.    ;D
3rd: 585   got just under halfway, tore callus off my right hand causing me to loose my grip.  Bar spun out of my hands to the floor.

Total: 1855 in single ply as SHW.    I think that squat and total will get me ranked in PLUSA top 100 (It'll be the lower tier, but hell I don't care.  I'm tickled to death to be at this point, I can always do more ;D ) .  I'm now within 150 (or 100 depending on the bench) of my ELITE total.    Overall the meet was good.  Very good.

Dude, if you only knew how damned happy I am to officially have over a 500 lb deadlift in a meet under my belt.  ;D

I'm a short, fat bastard,  with T-Rex arms, a barrel chest, tree trunks for legs and rump roast hands with pegasaurus fingers.  You can fit a quarter through my wedding ring.  My index finger is bigger around than it is long.    I can barely get my fingers around the bar.  I have to cup my fingers and pull hard, hoping I can get the bar off the floor and keep it there until I get the down command.   Its frustrating.

Someday, I'll deadlift 600 (I'll probably be squatting close to 900 and benching 7 something by then, but hey its a goal)  ;D

Like I said, Vet, great lifts! Congrats on conquering that grip problem. How much would you pull with straps?

I've rack pulled 700+ from the rack with the plates set 2 inches off the floor (the where I can get setup for a conventional pull) using straps  :-\

Thats damn good! I sometimes find rack pulls to be much harder. For example when working just below or inside the sticking point. Obviously thats hard :P but much more challenging mentally is what I mean. I have done 700+ from about 4 inches and thats about my sticking point....BRUTAL!

Alright.
I'll set the bar high. Real high.

Mars 2009: three lifts: 660-440-660

November 2009: benchpress: 485
everything in single ply and probably @ 198.
As empty as paradise

Updates anyone? Heres where Im at right now:

Heres my goals for 2008:

-Qualify for nationals. DONE
-Take first in a gold or platinum level competition. Nope, 3rd in Platinum. Next year FIRST!
-Deadlift 700+lbs and OHP 350+lbs. The deadlift wont happen this year but I got 325 on the OHP and I will try to break that on Friday.
-80ft under a minute with 800+lb Yoke. Trying this next weekend but will have to do 60', no more space. Shouldnt be a problem.
-350lbs/hand Farmers for 80ft. Once again, next weekend. The farmers I will be using are LOW pick so maybe only 335?

If I get the Farmers and Yoke, I'll be happy.

I'll set mine for 2009... 8)

-Break in a squat suit
-Get a total above 900 lbs in the 123-132 weight class.

I'm not sure how high I can get that total once I am using a suit and a shirt, but 900 seems doable.
