Dorain looked som much bigger and was ripped that a rookie was not going to take that away from his … and being a reigning champion Dorian’s physique was preferred …
98-99 Flex and Ronnie had the same physique type but Ronnie was bigger, harder, leaner and more muscular … also Ronnie had a bigger and better shoulder to waist ratio … so it doesn’t matter if Ronnie got a contract from Joe Weider after the Pre-judging … Ronnie was the better bodybuilder that night
To me flex’s 93 ASC appearance was his best
93 ASC was it, wasnt it.....after 93 Olympia I think he became anxious, impatient and didnt think straight....had he left the synthol and porches alone and added a tad more pure muscle, he would have had a really good chance at dethroning Dorian during one of his "off-years".
Btw, Mr Olympia or Not - his 93 ASC physique was something else......gimme that over Ronnie anyday....for pure class and purity, it reigns....its up there in terms of Dorian's ruggedness and conditioning and Arnold's classic lines....
