I don't! I do my SLDL with my back workout.
The problem is that your lower back can suffer from doing squats and SLDL the same week (as well as your hams).
Squats and DL are great but they can interfer depending on your body type.

Yeah, my lower back is the reason I would not do both in the same day.

Same thing. I'd rather have a day off between two workouts including squats and SLDL (and even that might not be enough). Specially if I'm training in the 6-8 rep range during that time.

What would your wife/girlfriend or mother think if they walked in on you looking at that photo?

Anyone here squat and deadlift same day?  I'd hate to do that.

I've done it. Took a lot out of me, and I didn't care for it. Tried it out for about six weeks, just to see what the results could/would be. I was doing the squats for quads (obviously) and the deads for hams.
In the end, which really didn't surprise me, I felt I couldn't devote enough energy to one exercise or the other. If I did squats first, the deads would suffer with overall lifting form. If I did deads first, then my lower back would be thrashed for squats....
But give them a try, I think that's the best way to prove if something works or not.

less sets for both exercises should be fine.......skip the lil shit warups and jump into some good weight.......do some light cardio first to get really warmed up

i got the old school upper body overpowering the lower body going here that all the women worldwide go crazy about

as we know, the only people that really cares for legs are fags.

when was the last time you heard a chick says "wow look at the size of his legs, that's sexy! i bet he does a lot of squatting!" no those kinda comments are only said by men to other men which proves my point.

it's not really leg day, is more calves and glutes-day since those 2 bodyparts are all that matters innit

when it comes to lower body

The thing with compound movements is that as soon as you add some weight (which of course is relative to one person's strength), all bodies react differently. Some might have no problem doing both exercises on the same day while it could be highly dangerous for someone else. Some guys do deadlifts (even stiff legged) without even noticing their lower back. They just feel their hams, end of story. Is is their technic? Maybe. But if you're in that case, you could incorporate both on a leg workout. SLDL don't do much (but it does a little) for my hams. So why would I do it on the same day than my squats unless if I considered squats as a back movement? Which would be strange, no?
