Must lose 25 but disabled
« on: March 15, 2008, 04:03:15 PM »
Hey all.

I have 30 years of training behind me....25 of competing (you can check my  photos on general board....pics of members and more...under Moosejay).

Anyway, I have developed heart problems where I can no longer exercise with weights in any way whatsoever.

I need to lose 25 pounds to get to a heart-healthy 175 at 5'11"

Any suggestions getting to this weight, keeping leanness, via food and cardio?

Can it be done?

Thanks,

Moose

so you can do cardio but not lift weights?  I would have thought cardio would be more stressful.  Unless doing some heavy squats.

What can you do, physically? Cardio, bike, run? Modifying your diet would be #1 on the list, wouldn't it?

As they said, change the diet, reduce carbs and then choose some daily cardio you can stand doing regularly. You can always start with long brisk walks or slow swimming then increase the intensity over time.
