maybe the guy will take all the entry fees then declare bankruptcy.  not a bad idea.  that's what i'd do!

The one "minor" problem with your theory is that FRAUD,and FRAUDULENT DEBTS, are not dischargable in bankruptcy. So taking the money and declaring BK won't fly.

In addition to fraud not being dischargable in BK, it is also a criminal act, and restitution cost and jail time are always a big plus in my book!

Sure there are.

Well, a couple of untried ideas might work. Have no breast enhancements for women and have them pose topless. We might finally achieve the right balance of feminine beauty then.

No fake tans painted on. Require everyone to have a proper tan.

Test for illegal drugs. Now, that would be helping bodybuilding.

Hey, Disgusted, you don't live up to your handle. Just an opinion board, ya know. Besides, my ideas have value. Imagine the crowd if you had the women posing topless as they should in a body beauty contest. Not in uptight USA, of course.

Debussey is harvesting photos from my internet photo site. God bless him. I know he needs friends but all I did was reply to a post of his in the past and now he stalks me everywhere I go.

The North Americans is an IFBB show.

I went to Garys web page-he promotes 3 NPC shows;

1-Pittsburg

2- PA State

3- Teen and Masters Nationals

He does NOT make a living off of those shows.

Gary Udit also promotes some other shows, and who knows what else he does, but you/Gary will not make a living promoting NPC BBing shows.

If Lindsey can't on just the figure competitors entrance fees, he's doing something wrong.

It depends on how you define "a living".

The masters and collegiate nationals are huge shows...around 300 competitors...I would imagine there would be some profit...how much is the question.

Just thought I would posty this. I found it very interesting. Maybe Ben could elaborate a little.

"Let me tell you what really happened. We were at the Olympia Expo and we gave out thousands of flyers and business cards.2 days later someone from the NPC called me
on our B&A phone and said that the NPC would be glad to sanction our show.I said "no" like i said no to all the other Organizations because we want no politics involved in our show, this show is for the Athletes and the best Men.Women/Figure Girl will win the car.Back then everything was still fine and when i and also Athletes asked the NPC if the could compete in our show the answer was"yes"Now time went by and more and more Athletes are interested in our show and I was still under the impression that yes means yes and did send out emails to Athletes were i stated that NPC Athletes can compete in our show but the NPC got probably scared and insecure(which i do not understand at all because we are a production company and we will never be an Organization) and now they say that you will get punished if you compete in our show,go figure. Our show will be the best show any Amateur will ever attend because we really care about our Athletes and there are thousands of other Athletes out there who do not give a damm about the NPC.We still will put up posters about NPC shows and other Organizations like we say on our website. We are" in for the Athletes" and nobody else.

Ben& Astrid Promoter of the most amazing Amateur show in the World!!"

Hard to say how your show will go over? The NPC has a boatload of shows in most states and is the only route to the IFBB pros in the USA. One thing I like about the NPC is the organization and number of events. I can count on an good regional NPC show being there year in and year out.
Most NPC shows are judged in an objective manner despite what some may say.
It is possible your event will do fine, but you are putting out a lot and may take a loss this first year.
Good luck, Howard
Kelly Ryan married well!  Free Titus!

I never said I knew the guy-you said he made a living off of promoting NPC shows, I called bullshit-and I was right.

You think posting a link to a website proves Gary is making a living off of promoting NPC shows???

If Lindsey can't on just the figure competitors entrance fees, he's doing something wrong.

There is NO WAY Jon makes a "living" off of promoting JUST NPC shows-much less just the figure competitors.

Making a living is just that-it is paying for the basic necessities of life-food, rent, clothing, transportation and healthcare. That is making a living!

Errr.....you asked for it Chick.....

Jon Lindsay.

Jon makes quite a nice living as a promoter. He has no other job, it's his sole source of income.

See Chick, this is what happens when you don't know what you're talking about-you open your mouth like you are an  "expert" at everything BBing and then you get taken to the woodshed and spanked, which I shall now do.

Jon Lindey was a BBing wannabe, and was on the fringes trying to get into it. He competed in a few shows, got blown out, then did OK in a few later shows, but he was still a wannabe and wanted to be someone, anyone in BBing. There was only one way for him to get the BBing attention he wanted-and it was not from being a BBer.

Since everyone in San Diego hated the main promoter down there, CC Sanders, (who also never made ends meet as a promoter) Jon ran against CC for the NPC District Chairman, and won, and the started doing all the LITTLE shows.

He never made SHIT from those shows! The only reason Jon could run those shows and not make any money is because he served 20+ yers in the Navy, and receives a FULL military pension with FULL medical benefits.

And that, my Mr Know It All friend Chick is the MAIN source of on Lindseys cash flow.

If not for the MILITARY PENSION and BENEFITS Jon would not be able to promote a local go kart race.

Looks like YOU just made a fool of YOURSELF.... don't worry, wasn't the first time, won't be the last.

I'm close friends with Jon, Jackass....I know he receives full pension from the Military...trust me, Einstein....the money he makes from promoting shows is MUCH more than his pension...the money he makes on the USA alone is substancial...

Oh, and BTW...thanks for the history lesson, it was completely irrelevant and has nothing to do with the subject at hand....

Paul Graham in Sydney seems to do well with his shows. He gets some sponsors and then pockets the profits. However, I am not claiming I know what he makes, etc.

Chick would never fess up that he was taken to the woodshed for a lesson. It happens regularly here on Getbig but he and Goodrum are oblivious that it does.
