do you idiots think things would be better for the athletes if bob chic was NOT their rep?

so what if he is pro IFBB? it gave him a living.

truthfully, i doubt anyone before him cared enough to take on this task, and i don't see any IFBB athletes in this thread, or on any bodybuilding board anywhere saying he is doing a piss poor job except you clowns.

reform takes time, especially within a organisation that has been monopolistic as long as the IFBB has been.

if YOU want change so badly for the atheletes step up like Ben1 and do something to manifest change.

if you aren't willing to put the effort into making change, the stfu.

you answered your own question.

your so-called interpretation of the rules, is ifbb ass kissing at its best.

case in point - you pretending that the ifbb does not arbitrarily enforce its rules with regard to lee priest's suspension.

please do manion et al a favour, offer them another service in place of policing the internet. you make the ifbb look even worse.

Name one time where I've run to the defense of the IFBB?

Interpreting rules, and defending them are two different things....there are many rules I've disagreed with, which is why I submit proposals to have them changed for the betterment of the athletes, as my record proves....

Again...I answered every one of your allegations....and you STILL have yet to respond in kind.

I've given you a chnce to retort, Basile....all you're proving is that I'm right...about everything I say about you....it's your own arrogance that's telling.

You don't answer because you CAN'T answer....plain and simple.

I relate to people just fine, as well as the athletes...that's why you don't see them coming here and talking shit, ever wonder that? It's douchbags like yourself who don't make a rats ass worth of difference I couldn't care less about making friends with....

Still waiting, Basile....

Bob forgets that I have been around this game for 50 years next January. I have seen the squabbles between York and Weider and then Dan Lurie joined in. I saw the demise of NABBA and the passing of Hoffman. Things change and in the old days people booed Joe Weider when he appeared on stage at the Olympia. Bill Reynolds told me it bothered Joe and he wanted to know why the people booed him.

Well, Joe used to have editorials where he boasted about things and took credit for more than he was entitled to. Same thing was true of Bob Hoffman. These two guys were not lacking in ego. Times have changed and Joe is sick and old but gets applause when he is presented to the public. The guy loves bodybuilding.

Ben Weider was involved with bodybuilding but I swear his heart was never with the bodybuilders. I well remember him in the movie with Bev Francis and he made sure Bev never won the Ms Olympia no matter what she did. That was a travesty for sure. I saw how they screwed Serge Nubret and Sergio Olivia and Dave Draper. Joe didn't care who won the Olympia because they were all his champions. That is quite true.

We all admired Joe for being fair when the AAU was an organization that didn't allow until 1970 a black to win Mr America. Joe had contests for all bodybuilders and that was his strength. Eventually he had the most important contest and everyone who lifted a weight wanted to be Mr Olympia.

Ben had this vision of having bodybuilding in the Olympic games. He failed to see that occur and now I doubt it will ever happen. Nice try, though. I doubt the IFBB was acceptable because of the taint of the drugs. What was allowed at the professional level tainted the rest of the IFBB. Ben tolerated the drugs because he fought for decades to be the premier organization in bodybuilding and knew how fickle the bodybuilders were. You had to treat them like sheep and use a sheep dog like Bob Chick to keep them in line. Reward loyalty and expel independent individuals was the way they operate. Ben appointed himself life president of the IFBB when he feared that Serge Nubret had a strong following in Europe. It was a simple matter to ban Serge and discredit him.

So we can blame and thank Joe and Ben for the state of professional bodybuilding today. They made decisions and came up with rules and a procedure to control the sport. I am ashamed of the sport of bodybuilding at the professional level. It is beyond reasonable to tolerate what is happening. If what gh15 and others say is true then drugs have ruined this once noble sport. Who in their right mind would want to be a professional bodybuilder? Would any woman want to do what is necessary to win the Ms Olympia?

Why would anyone support the IFBB or be a volunteer for them? It is preposterous to support what they are doing. We have intelligent people like Howie questioning this sport but he is afraid there is little that can be done to change things. Bob is there going along with the IFBB and tries to make piecemeal changes so that the best competitor wins at shows, etc. That is like trying to put a bandage on a limb that needs to be amputated. The whole sport is sick and Bob should be trying to clean it up instead of saying stuff like things are okay as long as they are not obvious. Goodness me how convenient.

Exactly what I expected Basile....more bullshit.

I answered to everyone of your allegations...one at a time...of course, you responded to NONE of them. You know why? Because your as clueless as I painted you. You cannot answer to anything I respond to, because you don't have the knowledge to put together a cohesive answer based on fact or information....you just start rambling on about other bullshit, and ignore what you've been schooled on

scram, loser

Still nothing??

Anytime now, blowhard....

Thanks for the history lesson....now see if you can focus on the shiney thing over here called a QUESTION..!

Bob, you hardly represent me or millions of other bodybuilders out there. That you are loyal to the IFBB is nice for you but doesn't impress me. I will never support a corrupt organization.

Question for the IFBB PAR: Do they do drug testing at pro IFBB contests? If not, why not? What is your personal opinion about using drugs and other substances, etc., to enhance muscles?

Are you really just that fuckin dumb, or oblivious...or both?

I answered your allegations....now I'm STIlL waiting for your response. Back yourself and your statements up....you made some allegations and opinions, I answered them.....

Now you ignore it, because you can't answer without making a bigger ass of yourself....

Get lost Basile...you're a bigger clown than I thought you were. You've been exposed as a clueless blowhard. Go back to reveling in your Mr. Canada victory

Bob, why you feel compelled to belittle past champions of the IFBB is sad. You are behaving in a manner that is bringing shame to the IFBB. The code of conduct should be followed by all those associated with the IFBB. There is no need to be crass and vulgar in your posts to others.

You folks ever notice that everytime Basile gets stumped on a question, he automatically starts talking about "the good old days" and how things went.

Its like clockwork....soon as he gets stumped, out comes the names of Arnold and Lou and Larry Scott and Franco.......

Bob is like a computer, he doesn't respond unless you feed him the right information.

Okay, Bob, can you tell us how Lee's application to be reinstated in the IFBB is going? Will he be eligible to compete in contests in time to qualify for this year's Olympia? I heard a rumour that he will be accepted back in the IFBB. What is the latest?

Its an educated analysis that you don't wish to answer his question because you can't.

I do believe that you are jealous of him because of his status and the fact that you never made anything of your bodybuilding career and he did.
