Swimmers, paticularly short course butterfly racers, often have great shoulder width.
No doubt about it...

This Aussie 'female' swimmer is breaking records and has the friggen body of a man.

This pic does not do her justice as to what she looks like lately. No tits, big arms and shoulders.

People in this country are stupid.

Then if you never fall into overtraining, maybe eat like off-season and 6 hours or something cardio is the best thing.

i don't think 'over training' exists.

take the gymnasts in this thread for example- for the better part of their lives they have spent hours every day training their muscles to preform feats of strength like the iron cross.

conventional bodybuilding wisdom would have you believe such training would lead to over training and stall muscle growth, but for athletes who do not do bodybuilder type training they have incredibly developed upper bodies, all the while remaining drug free.

i don't think over training exists, just under training.

I think you will find that steroid use is extremely common in gymnastics. The European countries and Russia dominate that sport, and as we all know, they can get their hands on high quality gear fairly easily.
No doubt about it...

False. Not a sport where they would play a positive role. Yes, you need to be very strong but also as small/light as possible. And these athletes are streamed into such programs at very young ages if they show signs of promise. The defined muscles you see are from years and years of repetition. Some will have upper bodies that resemble bbers, others won't; genetics will out.

swimmers generally have very wide shoulders and a small waist in comparison. they'd make for great bbers.
