Not really... What I'm trying to convey is that just because your favorite MMA guy has skills doesn't mean he can't get beat up by the guy
No, dude. I have already stated that Tyson could win. It is
you who claims that no way, no how would a top MMA fighter defeat him.
who can arguably be considered the greatest fighter in the history of the world.
The greatest
boxer. Don't forget that. Boxers are extremely incomplete fighters.
You're talking about being a Fan boy when Tyson has stood toe to toe with guys who were considered tough and he's knocked them out.
Redundant. All the top MMA fighters have stood toe-to-toe with guys considered tough and defeated them.
He's beat people up in street fights and he's walked away... Where have your guys fought? In a ring with some rules.
Yes, in the ring against guys who were much better trained, stronger and conditioned than the guys Tyson beat on the streets. And BTW, the only rules in MMA are no fngers in the eye or kicks to the groin.
It's like saying that Bruce Lee wasn't a bad ass when he used to hang out in Hong Kong picking fights to show how tough he was.
The difference being that Bruce Lee won fights with no rules, contrary to Tyson who we've only seen win fights with the rules of boxing.
Tyson was beating up grown men in street fights when he wasn't even finished with puberty. He went to Prison and no one in the yard wanted any.
Bla bla bla! How many more times will you bring this shit up as if it had any relevance when it comes to fighting guys who are infinitely stronger, more physically conditioned and who can fight better than the guys Tyson fought on the street?
The octagon isn't the streets... In the streets, people pull weapons and don't give a shit, yet Tyson kept beating people up.
First of all, I doubt Tyson fought guys with knives or guns with his bare fists. And you're right that the octagon is not the street: it is a place where your opponents are much better at fighting, stronger and tougher than your average street brawler. You're so hang up on this whole street thing that it seems like to you every street thug has the ground fighting skills of a jiu-jitsu black belt.
Like I said... I've met Tyson... and even today, not one of the MMA superstars has stepped up to see if they can beat the man.
Actually, a 7'5 Korean who fights on K1 - forgot his name challenger Tyson, and he backed off like a frightened little girl.
What did Rick Flair used to say? "To be the man, you've got to beat the man."
Another one of your redundant bullshit. Tyson is the man in boxing, and nothing more. Boxing. He's not the man when it comes to no-holds-bare fighting, where you can also use your legs and can throw your opponent to the ground.
So far, no MMA man has stood up to make it happen... Like I said... Tyson will certainly take the money, so why doesn't the UFC or whoever make it happen?
Again, Tyson has been challenged, and he backed off. Rickson Gracie said in an interview that he's willing to fight anyone, and when they asked about Tyson, he said he would probably defeat him.
Keep worshiping the shamrocks or the Fedors or whatever... Everyone is a cage fighter now.
Keep worshipping the drug-addicted canibal rapist. He is very good at beating people with his fists - especially women -, but I would like to see what he'll do when one of the Gracies is chocking him on the ground. Let's see what his boxing skills are good for then.
