So I'm at Red Lobster tonight. I admit, I'm definitely not a seafood guy. Growing up in the trailer park, I rarely ate any fish that I didn't catch myself, and lobster never came around our canal.Anyway, I had lobster tonight with my steak and I must admit, I wasn't all that impressed. I know it's supposed to be what girls order in order to owe a guy sex. Some status symbol that comes with ordering it. But it pretty much tasted like what I believe a Krabby Patty should taste like. Thoughts on lobster?
So you are basically white trash, right?
I grew up near Cleveland, poor and on welfare. I moved to a FL trailer park where I lived for a few years. I decided when I was 18 that I'd like to better my situtation. I got a Pell Grant (college assistance for po' folk) and I went to community college. In 2 years I became a substitute teacher and moved to an apartment. 3 years later I was a fulltime teacher earning computer certifications and later my masters degree. I now live in a pretty nice home in a really nice area. I work 50 hours a week. I pay my taxes, and I follow the law.If you consider me trailer trash because I had to live in one during high school, okay.
It was a question, not an assertion.
Was this your first taste of lobster? The best lobster (and lobster rolls) are to be found in Maine. I know it is counterintuitive, but as a general rule seafood (shell fish or otherwise) in Florida is not very good and I say this as a seafood lover and a Florida lover. Maryland crabs are the best. Maine lobster is the best. btw, why is this posted on Gossip and Opinions? Does it have anything to do with bodybuilding?
Actually Tommy Burgers in LA are unreal too.
Lobster sucks !you should eat a Poutine, 240that's my cheat meal every week
back on topic robby if you go to orlando go to this place all you can eat lobster sushi crab legs prime rib etc etc....for about $30 a pop youll come out at about 250lbs probably...hahahahaseriously good stuff..http://www.bostonlobsterfeast.com/RestaurantIndex.cfm?idsPageID=3Bay GBM is right though the best lobster is from maine, man you want clam chowder and some other speicalty items go to boston md/VA is crabs for sure ....FL as you know is all types of seafood....redlobsters suck donkey dick like squadfather...but ...good cheese biscuits....
Lobster is good. I don't go to Black Lobster, but I do go to OutBack and get the 3 Broiled Tails for $24.99. If you're in the Northeast, try to a Lobsterfest in Montauk/Hamptons or anything north of Boston along the shoreline. Being a native of Maryland, I dig Crab legs and Crabcakes more than lobsters. Good crabcakes are tough to find anywhere, especially heavy on the jumbo lump crabmeat and light on the filler. Great Crabcake place in Lanham, MD and the Golden Bull in Hyattsville or Gaithersburg is not bad. O'Donnells in Bethesda kicks ass too. Never had a good crabcake in a chain seafood place. And 240, enjoy the local catches down there: Marlin and Dolphin (Mahi Mahi). Lobsters come from up north. By the time they get to Florida, they're either dead or suicidal. Thanks Lobsterphone for the Crabcake listings in Maryland!
I'm trying. It's hard to get that big without being a bloated fatass.
what is that Stavios?
I tell you what is overrated.... OYSTERS... totally and utterly overrated, I come from a very "sophisticated" (what ever it is good for) family, both parents Teachers etc. so I'm always open for new foods etc, but the first time I had oysters I was instantly thinking? WTF? and this is what people go nuts for? you eat it raw, it's slobbery salty and has FUCK ALL taste.
wellfleet oysters are the best especially with freshly shredded horseradish on top and blueberries for desert
Red Lobster is a hit or miss, so I don't go anymore. Pretty much the high class place to go, if you live in the ghetto. If you get a surf & turf, it is a great blend. Personally, I'd rather eat home...no wait, the food will be perfect, and the amounts will be spot on. Plus, I can post on getbig, while that steak is cooking. Doing lobster at home, is a bit of a hassle to me.
OK so you used to date girls?
Thought the same thing
Yeah let's hear more on that, right? 5 pages long, 1300 views and this thing could still just be getting warmed up. I was wondering myself why he'd encourage us to trust the taste of a chick who was dating a gay man, unless of course she was into that.
