Just so you know, Splenda contains Maltodextrin.

The main ingredient in Splenda is 'Sucalose'.

Splenda packets are supposed to be equal to 'one teaspoon' of sugar in sweetness. However, Sucralose is 600 times sweeter than sugar. So if they just put the Sucralose in the little packet, you probably wouldn't even be able to see it because it would be such a little amount. So they add Dextrose and Maltodextin to the mix (very little though, just enough to give it substance).

It might be 600 times sweeter but I sincerely doubt that it is 600 times sweeter by human perception.  I can't imagine a 5g teaspoon of sugar being rivaled by 8mg of sucralose.

why would you pay extra for carbs when they're everywhere?  what does waxey maize starch provide that you can't get from say a banana or oatmeal, or bread, or pasta, or a potato, or rice, or OJ, or a corn tortilla?

yes freakshow that was my point if you read my post

packets of splenda contain one gram of carbohydrate
and 1 gram of carbs = 4 calories, spenda has a misleading "The no calorie sweetener statement on the package. The FDA says as long as its under 5 calories and can be labeled as such.

convenience.    fish, chicken, beef, and eggs require preparation.  they all require refrigeration.

Do any of you competitors consume products containing maltodextrin at any time during the year?

If yes, would you ever choose it over Splenda for your sweetener?

i use STEVEA 0 call and its natural
