2006 World Cup
Ronaldo

Annual salary plus bonus: $8.1 million
Other income: $14 million
Team: Brazil

Nicknamed "The Phenomenon," the Brazilian forward for Real Madrid has been voted FIFA Player of the Year three times. Ronaldo is only two goals away from tying the all-time World Cup scoring record of 14 goals, currently held by Germany's Gerhard Müller. A leading Brazilian magazine recently estimated that the 29-year-old boasts a net worth of around $130 million.

Bump...who the fuck is Ronaldo?

That's because you're all ignorant asinine shitheads, that's why you don't know Ronaldo and don't care about soccer. This game is THE most popular game in the world. Only in America it did not catch....funny thing is the sport was spreaded to the world through England (but it was originated in China, believe it or not). Why a country colonized by England doesn't have soccer as one of its most popular sports is unbelievable....

they weren't playing soccer/football 232 years ago.

the US doesn't do too well in men's international soccer because the best athletes for soccer go into American football.   But we do pretty well in women's soccer.

Hmmm....no need to be a smartass, Tim....I'm pretty sure you caught my drift with what I said about a country that didn't follow up to the sports tradition of their colonizers, since they did it in a lot of other fields.  ;)

Yes, we are aware that women's soccer is very popular, there. By the way, I'm from Brazil! We have also the best woman player in the world - MARTA.

Ronaldo is a fucking joke!! He's known for being such a donk with his women. Just to let you know, he was engaged to a pretty hot babe until this morning, LOL! The travestite shananigan cost him not only embaressment, but also troubles with police (they are investigating on him), risk in losing his NIKE contract, the main gossip object and jokes' subject all around in the country, and as the last rock cast at him (at least until now) is the big foot up the ass he got form his fiancée!!!!!!!!

They guy is finished regarding soccer - his knees are more fucked up than an 80 years old bodybuilder's knees. He's fat - ok, an outrageously rich fat prick - and will have a lot of work to dissipate this newly acquired sheman fan fame!!

Being "famous" in the "rest of the world" means jack shit... It's like being the smartest kid on the short bus, or the fastest walker in the geriatric ward.

If you're not famous in the USA, then you don't matter, period.

Only to Americans..

Many, like Ronaldo with his 100 million + net worth, would differ.

Soccer is huge most places worldwide except for the USA, meaning 97% of the world.

I thought this picture was meant to be funny, but apparently that's how a lot of Americans think.   ::)
