Sure...I had and have had in the past serious misfiring of my sympathetic nerves...leads to pain and gross swelling of my appendages...so profound that I can't pull a pair of pants or shirt over the affected area.
For instance...if you break your ankle...chances are you will go thru the stages of pain and healing...you know, swelling, inflammation, scarring, healing=feel better.
Your brain tells you you are healed, so all the injury symptoms abate.
With me, even after the injury heals, my brain tells the injured area that it is still injured...so the pain and extreme swellingf continues on and on and on
So I undergo cervical and lumbar sympathectomies...they take out the nerves that register pain and swelling.,
The only downshoot is that I will no longer sweat in my right upper and lower extremities
But I am now onb my way!
