Didn't he almost die for us? Wasn't he supposed to retire due to health concerns? What's he doing competing at the NY Pro?

I spoke to Don back stage last year at the Atlantic City show. IMO he is doing nothing that is deterimental to his health. He obviously works out and diets. Other than that nothing. He doesn't take diuretics, in fact he can't since they would not work snyway. He did say that he times his dialysis according to when the show is so he is not hodng any water.

My hats is off to his, dialysis is a big road block.I knew a guy who won Mr Texas many years ago, who looked outstanding. You know the drill, it was late 80's early 90's he wanted to be, and thought he would be a pro bodybuilder and the next Mr O.He has genetics that were out of this world, but unfortunately he body gave out before he did.He went from this freak, to a person clinging to his life.I seen him wither away every year.He got off anabolics and still did shows, but never looked that great plus his veins got grossly huge from the dialysis.I felt bad for the guy.If he didn't have organ failure this guy would have went some where. He had small bones round muscles belly, and great symmetry.I dont know Don Longs story, but I hope he isn't harming himself from still competing.I know dialysis is no joke, and I would hate to read about him to be rushed to the hospital, or even passing away just for a bodybuilding trophy.Bodybuilding is fun, but life is priceless
