Flex won the 1993 Arnold at 216, he was 218 for the 1993 O, he was about 220-ish when the vid was shot. He won the 1997 Arnold at 224, and was at the 1996  O at 227ish.
So, Flex stating that he tore his bicep in his book is lying. And When he says in that video that was done one week from the O, in which he says "...it shows how you can come back from a tear too...", in which he is working his bis, is coincidence?

Yes, Flex never tore his bicep. That would be HUIGE news in the BBing world. Every pro that tears ANYTHING has it spashed all over the mags.

I have his book right in front of me, what page is his"tear" on????? And we know Flex never lies about anything...cough...ninja attack...cough, cough.  ;D

Draper=Mr. America, Mr. Universe
Mentzer Bros= Mr. America's, Mr. Universe
Christian= National Champ, World Champ
Paris= National Champ, World Champ

There, fixed.

How is it fixed?  The negativity is these guys lives-in some cases no longer living- far outweighs the chintzy trophies they may have won in a chemically assisted homo fest bodybuilding contest.

 there seems to be more than 10 ppl on this forum that make that mistake....

what the fuk is the problem here....

you actually used it in 1 breath then used proper grammar in the 2nd

Page 66 in the soft cover book. He said he tore his left bicep, and it went "psssst". The Chapter is called Love and Loss. Supposedly he tore a pec as well. Now, Flex didn't include the "ninja" attack, it was actually several Asian men with nunchunkus or "screaming sticks" is how the story went as it was told in 1997., because it was false...

You know, Temple gym's a fucking great place to train, but I'd love to train in Gold's Venice just to see what training in a place that big and famous would be like.

excellent post
totally agree with you
cormier and flex were 2 who were lazy, over relied on drugs , didnt train hard and coasted on superior genetics
cormier loved to use rec drugs and party hard................not exactly conducive to optimum muscle growth

imagine if they had applied themselves like coleman or yates!

Hmm, lets see. Cormier is the one who is known for throwing serious weight around. He actually beat Jay Cutler at every Arnold. But Jay was given it...He totally crushed Hay, better shape, conditions and muscle. After playing the bridesmaid for 6 years at the Arnold, some say Cormier just lost the motivation. He won the Ironman 6 times, but with the Arnold, how many times do you have to beat your head against the wall...

Flex reached his potential believe me, he maybe could have trained harder but he took everything else to the limit and beyond, it did cost him a kidney, Cormier pretty well much the same, didnt matter whether he partied or behaved he maxed out around the 245lb any heavier and he would hold water, didnt much matter if he was in the gym or nightclubbing during the prep, so you could say he got to his potential as well.

I agree, I think Flex could have gotten a slightly wider back, or a bigger chest, but that is it. Cormier was hitting at 250+, and was owning shows, they just f him over too many times.
