Lose fat = diet + weight training
strengthen heart = cardio

Cardio is a slow means to fat loss....take a look at all the fat ass women who stumble out of the spin classes at the gym. Sweaty as hell and very soft... 8)

iif someone is very aware of ther bdoy and personal metabolism and knows nutrition well than they can lose fat and build muscle over time without cardio..

lol..umm... whos trying to rule what exactly?  i spend my free time here because bodybuilding is my hobby but the gym is only an hour a day 5 days a week...

squad and me are very different people and in no way o i try to emulate him at all...    ad i dont know how i would ever be able to reach that post count. favct is for the past couple weeks ive had the house to myself with no job and only working out one hour a day for 5 days a week so that gives me all day log to sit around and eat and post on getbig...     but as far as posting style i dont thnk its changed at all...

burn off fat in the morning by doing am cardio. then eat 300 calories over maintanence.

this will result in a slow reduction in fat while a slow gain in muscle. and you in a constant calorie surplus.

Genuine question here. This is providing when you refer to a calorie it's in reference to carbs. How do you lose weight if you're taking more in than you're using...ie in a calorie surplus?

i outlined a simple way earlier.

okay. you wake up. you do cardio. you just burned a bunch of body fat.  lets say you burn 400-600 calories of body fat.


now lets say your bmr is 3000 cals a day.   you eat 3300 cals for that day. of the right macronutrients of course. 

now, your not gong to store any fat from eating 300 calories over each day, protein synthesis is very costly.

and even if you did store some fat, the most would be 300. but you burned a the loswest 400 cals in cardio

so worst case scenario each day you only lost 100 calories of fat.

and at the same time, you gaining muscle because you eating 300 cals over bmr.
