He was big, but that's about it. Dorian was a big guy that came around at the right time. Other than his calves, there is nothing pretty about his physique. Look, you either like the big, shapelass freraks or the more shapley guys. I never wanted to look like a fridge with legs

great post! guys like Ronnie, Haney, Flex had much nicer shape to go along with the mass. and a much more pleasing taper.

they looked like champion bodybuilders, not champion construction workers.

Physiques change over time. By 1995 his physique was inferior to that of people like Ray, Nasser and Levrone.

2 days ago, i went to see Paco Bautista. Damn, he was still in shape after New York pro.
He was like...... But He was like horror movie!
I saw many many pros directly(Include dorian). But that was not of this world.
I have never seen a guy without skin and almost 300lbs like him.

Flex, WTF? Flex destroyed his physique also and in a much more brutal way than any of the others mentioned. Look at him in '93 (one of the most awesome physiques ever) and him in '98 (supposedly a great year). Ronnie could handle the mass to a very high degree, it looked good on him but past a point the gut became too big then came the injuries. Same for Yates who declined as his body rebelled against the drugs and the training style (at a most younger age than Ronnie in fact; he peaked earlier and declined earlier). But Flex just wasted every thing he had early on and never achieved his potential.

Dorian won that contest easily, it wasnt even close.

Watch this video and if you still dont think Dorian won you shouldnt even bother to judge pro physiques in future. His conditioning was light years ahead of them, just look at the texture of Dorian's skin. Its like sandpaper.
