I have two drinks every night. I think going through a rotation of high quality beers (hoppy or stout-ish), red wines (i'd stay away from whites, big link between whites and lung cancer), vodkas, gins, whiskeys and tequilas gives your body a wide range of health benefits, allows for better sleeping and makes for a nice reward at the end of the day. As long as you keep it cool except for special occasions, alcohol is good for you, really good. If you use too much, like most things, its bad for you.
