i think the question is: are these ladies at these shows only wives and girlfriends of the competitors, or are they there because they like to look at these competitors?

Out of the HUGE numbers of people who go to these shows, from small bingo Halls all the way to the Mr. O, what percentage you reckon are women?

 Quick story for you, danielson. I was at this show yesterday in Chicago. One of my buddies was competing. He's often seen in Muscle & Fitness in photoshoots etc...He's a nice looking cat and has the physique to back it up. Okay?

 So yesterday at the show I'm standing there and all a sudden I hear a loud smacking noise and a ruckus(can you describe the ruckus?), I turn around and I see my buddy all bouncing like a boxer with his dukes up and see this tall, skinny, bald guy with a bushy beard with a camera lying on the floor. The herd didn't want to be disturbed so people intervened and the weird creepy fuck on the floor laid there twitching.

 The promoters run over, there's confusion the whole 9Yards. Turns out the prick who got knocked the fuck out was a creepy schmoe fa gg ot. He e-mailed my guy a few times very recently asking him if he could video tape or takes pics of him jerking off. My boy always ignored the e-mails but the fucker flew to Chicago from Louisiana just to see him and re-propostiioned him but upped his price to $2500. Cash.

 My guy ended up being able to compete after a talking to by the promoters. The creepy shcmoe was picked up and escorted out of the building.

 Score one for the us straight guys without a sick fetish!

I have only been to pro level in the US, never amatuer, but say the Arnold looks to be 50/50. Olympia maybe 40% women.

Prejudging attendance tend to be male dominated every US show I have been to.

The Arnold has much women would like - gymnastics, cheerleading, fashion shows, great shopping bargains etc. so it is very female friendly. The bodybuilding is maybe what 5% of the Arnold if that? But since you get the tickets with the package, many go to the show anyway.

Getbig can be un female friendly at times, so it gives an appearance of less female fans if you go by this board. Women are the minority of the 'fan base', but we are around.

At most NBA or MLB games I have been to, nearly half of the attendees are women.  But the comparison isn't really relevant, since as we all know bodybuilding is not a sport.

They are, fans of the sport, friends, GF's, family members, other BB/figure women.  Im sure plenty like what they see on stage, they have told me.  But its not like some female strip club, its not sexual for most.

I've been attending pro shows in the US every year for a decade.

Women go. Men are the definitely the majority, but women go. There is no sense me disputing it further lol, as I know this for this a fact as I see it.

As an aside, there is also generally some very nice looking women there, as the average female attendee is in good shape and young.
