gayer than probably a fluid build up in the knee and some cartilage damage, probably not muscle damage. I have bad knees as well from basketball and powerlifting. Slow squats are the best no bouncing. And to rehab the slow light lunges for the one leg or very light one leg extentions high reps on either. You are just trying to push blood into the area which helps with injury.
gayer than i use to bounce a lot in squats (tom platz style), but now i do less weight and slow reps (like evan in his leg training video on MD). And i have been doing higher reps on the leg extensions when i warm up (40 reps or so each set). I guess i shouldn't be too worried then. gayer than you are welcome, ICY Hot works good before the workout too. Extensions hurt my knees so do them anymore do you fell pain when doing them? if so drop them and do the light lunges.
gayer than they don't really hurt my knees i dont think. I just know that heavy leg extensions are said to be bad for one's knees so i just do extensions for about 3 sets of 30-50 reps after i warm up on the bike for 5 minutes. I never go heavy on extensions anymore
gayer than and too, the knot or bone or whatever thats on the bottom right of my right kneecap hurts sometimes and sticks out some. Does this make any difference?
