I never imagined I would find this shit at my university gym, but it happened today.While I was working out, these two other guys were carrying on a conversation, about the army (one of them is a marine, apparently), politics, etc... One of them started to get loud while talking politics, ranting about how much he hates Obama.It was loud and obnoxious, and it escalated to him calling Obama "That Muslim Ni gger" and saying that no way will white Americans vote for a Muslim "Ni gger" guy to be president, and the like. This went on for several minutes.In the meantime, I tried to finish my workout and resist the urge to throw a 75-lbs dumbbell at that POS. My disapproving stare-down and look of disgust eventually made him come up to me and apologize... but it was just a half-apology, since he coated it in excuses like "I just hate liberals so much"... I accepted his apology. I didn't want to report him to the kids in charge of the gym, because I didn't want to look like a snitch. But I also feel guilty about not having stood up to him.What should/could I have done? Serious thread, please help folks!

Actually, it's not a conspiracy. Five of the ten authors of the 911 commission report, having seen all the news that has come out since 2004, now want another investigation. They call their own report uncomplete, flawed. One even called it a 'whitewash'.No need for me to try to debunk an explanation that the authors themselves call worthless

I wish a lot of people in the younger generation would take this stance on life. In all seriousness though, the problem with my American culture is the lack of world awareness coupled with economic and general educational ignorance. The world is no longer based on "political boundaries" or "political ideologies" but rather economic turfs and principles set forth by the economy. Wars are no longer fought for principles, but rather for $$$$. The concept of patriotism is used much like George Orwell's view, as a tool to manipulate the intellectually weak (the bulk of the American population), for the benefit of few. I find it very sad and heart breaking when I see a poor white mid - western 18 year old kid die for his "country". The only thing this kid died for is for the mighty $$$$ and in many cases for the benefit of Israeli lobbying groups (but that is a whole other complex problem in our country). Many of my co - workers believe that the military is modern day evolution, as a way to manipulate and use the intellectually weak. I just find this truth very hard to accept, but it is becoming harder and harder for me to understand (except for economic reasons) why someone would volunteer to join the army. I just don't understand how the population can be so stupid and so blind to the economical motivations of war. cheers,bodybuildermdpitt
