Yeah..I have leaned alot ....over 16 years in every hellhole on the planet watching man's inhumanity to man and trying real hard to make sure the sheep in America stay safe. We aren't perfect..but we're better then most other places. I get sick of the America bashing on this board, most of which is done by folks who have'nt done a damm thing to make her a better place or to preserve her.

How many Americans save 20k a year? You really think tons of Americans do that? Show me some evidence. Americans are the worst savers in the world. I was living in Europe before Korea. Much like the US, it's tough to save much money in Europe but the standard of living is much greater.

Where are all these Americans saving thousands of G's a year?

There are many. Media just accentuates the negative, just like you.

Again..naive outlook on history...this has never worked ever..ever in the entire history of mankind. Trade and peace work if u have armies ready to back up diplomacy. Shops ready to keep trade routes open, planes ready to bomb the dogshit out of people.  Diplomacy got us Madelaine Albright fooled in North Korea. It got Europe overrun by the Nazi's..it got ur South Korea invaded by the North, Kuwait invaded by Iraq....the list is endless.

Ok lets review...the US government says we won't stop Saddam from invading Kuwait..no threat equals invasion.  Dean Atcheson(sp) draws some ridiculous line on a map precluding defense of South Korea...North invades. Soviets invade Afghanistan knowing we're weak and a have weak leadership. The NKPA continues to develop nukes despite Clintons' best efforts. Its not all about us though....just revisit history. Speak softly and carry a big stick. Works for me.

Um Decide on military matters u are way over ur head. I'd like u to look up the Iraqi order of battle during Desert Storm and pick out for me what weapons systems were US made. I have read quite a few history books thank you. So, now we are not stealing anyone's oil? I thought you admitted that was the reason we went into Iraq.

We're securing the oil....stealing means the US ARmy rolls up with tankers and it ends up in my car. We've allowed free trade to happen, they're selling oil just like everybody else in the region. We made sure that happened....nope I know exactly what Lib means. Neuro is against the war..he isn't a lib...
