I had asked the board before if anyone had done one of these. Nobody came back with any responses that reflected first hand experience. Yesterday I had my first one.
Going into it I had no idea what to expect. I had done enemas before, but not a colonic. For those of you who need a definition of each here it is.
Enema is when you take in water ( usually 1-2 liters ), Let it sit for a few minutes, then you goto the toilet and let it all come out.
A colonic is when the water is continously going in and out. One tube lets the water in, the other lets the water out. This usually lasts for 30-45 minutes, and a total volume of 30-50 gallons of heated water is cycled through you.
My experiences with an enema were its uncomfortable ( severve cramping, and afterwards you feel very messed up ), the next morning you feel slightly better, but still not 100%
With the Colonic, the cramping was not nearly as severe, as it goes slower. Afterwards I had a definately felt skinners, ( much more so than an enema ). Granted this is just from removing the food sitting in the large intestines, and part of the small intestines, but the technician explained to me how plaque over time can line your colon reducing the ability to absorb nutrients. I could visually see the plaque coming out as the colonic was going on. It looked like scaley fish food, something I never got out with an enema.
Before the Colonic I had taken a huge Shit, then I weighed my self. 207 lbs. After the colonic I weighed myself again at 206 lbs. This is with a little water still in me. I didn't exactly see alot of chunks go down the tube but the water was almost always a yellowish, brownish color.
I will updates this topic over the next few days, to let everyone know how I feel. I am just hoping for better protein absorbtion. The immediate 1lb drop to me was not important.
