My Colonic Experience
« on: June 23, 2008, 02:42:27 PM »
I had asked the board before if anyone had done one of these.  Nobody came back with any responses that reflected first hand experience.  Yesterday I had my first one.

Going into it I had no idea what to expect.  I had done enemas before, but not a colonic.  For those of you who need a definition of each here it is.

Enema is when you take in water ( usually 1-2 liters ), Let it sit for a few minutes, then you goto the toilet and let it all come out.

A colonic is when the water is continously going in and out. One tube lets the water in, the other lets the water out.  This usually lasts for 30-45 minutes, and a total volume of 30-50 gallons of heated water is cycled through you.

My experiences with an enema were its uncomfortable ( severve cramping, and afterwards you feel very messed up ), the next morning you feel slightly better, but still not 100%

With the Colonic, the cramping was not nearly as severe, as it goes slower.  Afterwards I had a definately felt skinners, ( much more so than an enema ).  Granted this is just from removing the food sitting in the large intestines, and part of the small intestines, but the technician explained to me how plaque over time can line your colon reducing the ability to absorb nutrients.  I could visually see the plaque coming out as the colonic was going on.  It looked like scaley fish food, something I never got out with an enema.

Before the Colonic I had taken a huge Shit, then I weighed my self.  207 lbs.  After the colonic I weighed myself again at 206 lbs.  This is with a little water still in me.  I didn't exactly see alot of chunks go down the tube but the water was almost always a yellowish, brownish color.

I will updates this topic over the next few days, to let everyone know how I feel.  I am just hoping for better protein absorbtion.  The immediate 1lb drop to me was not important.

1-2 liters for an enema? Damn what did you eat a bowling ball?  ;D One enema pack contains around a cup of water.

Colonic operator, what a great career choice.  ::)

Anyone who does that job must be messed in the head.

"Hi, what do you do for a living?"
"I shove tubes up strangers butts and drain the crap out of them."
"All righty then."

$70 for an 1 hour session
 x 8 hours / day = $560 / day
x 5 days / week = $2800 / week
x 52 weeks / year = $145,600 / year

The chick who does mine has her own business doing it.
I assume she is able to pay her bills with this income.

My next one is sunday, I will be sure to take pictures before during and after

Settle down darksol, no need to pic your shit up.

I'm however curious about the whole process and its benefit.

Is getting a tube inserted awkward in any way? How long does it take before crap start coming out? Does it smell funny?

From what the clinician told me a colonic benefits in two ways.  Removing fecal impaction( if you are constipated), and removing tartar buildup from the lining of your colon.  Usually guys don't suffer from the constipation, so the goal is to remove the tartar build up.  After you remove the tarter you can better absorb nutrients, and are more efficient at removing waste.

Yes getting the tube inserted is very awkward, I get that I got to take a shit feeling.  But it goes away after a minute or two. Its not painful in any way.

I start seeing crap coming out in the first minute.  It all depends in what you have up there.  30-50 gallons of warn water are flushed through you.  Some places use machines that use suction which can be dangerous.  The place I go to just uses gravity.  When the stuff first comes out the water is pretty clear, then its gets a light yellowist tint.  At times it is dark brown but usually just a light yellow color.  There is no smell.  Because the waste goes directly in a drain that is sealed off.

From what I have read there has only been one person who had died from a colonic, but this was a very old person, who had intenstinal issues, and was left unattended a machine.

Of course there are other small risks. I am not worried about STDs or anything because they use a new hose each time ( comes out of a sealed bag.  There is no reuse of anything that is inserted.

My weight, and strength is up, but I am not about to credit the colonic for this.  After a few more times I will have a better idea if there is any BBer related benefits to this.

Good stuff.

How often do you need it? I would assume tartar buildup must take months... would a quarterly session be enough?

I will have to ask the technician when I am in there today.  I am doing them once a week, until I feel I have maxed the benefits.  I have only done one so far. Today will be # 2.

Good luck. Definitely keep us posted. I've heard many benefits. Toney freeman does it pretty frequently too.

Worse case you've greatly reduced colon cancer probabilities.
