5th place in a National Level show, your second time is not the end of the world.  He was a victim of the hype as much as a misguided off-season plan, but the guy will come back strong.  He is very mature for someone in his early 20's.

How many weeks till the USA's 5? I would say that he has a very good chance of coming in looking way better. Why the Hell go thru what he did, and waste all the effort just to get out of shape again? All he needs is someone who knows what the Hell they are doing to bring him in looking like everyone knows he can look.

In the end, he just didn't give himself enough time to lose the body fat and lost too much muscle in the process.  He got in good condition, just not great.  Hopefully he has learned from this experience.  I think all of the naysayers are STRONGLY exaggerating how things went.  The guy has a ton of potential, and will be a pro one day if he keeps at it.

And what do u think happend to his legs. Im at work now and cant bring up the pics, but he lost a tremendous amount of size in his quads from the excalibur to the jr.nats. I mean he had the freakiest quads since paul demayo why would he try to streamline them ??

Perhaps his 'guru' just wants to avoid further damage to his own reputation.

He believes they can go 'back to the drawing board' and spend 9 months doing it all over again, which will give him time to do the research to learn how to diet and peak a guy.

perhaps he's putting his ego before Trey's career.

Perhaps the best thing he could do for his longtime friend Trey would be to let him work with someone else for the next show.

You know, I think that either Trey or his trainer made a mistake by letting him get so heavy in the offseason and now instead of just admitting it, someone is under the mistaken belief that whatever went wrong will take a whole nuther  ;D  contest prep to fix, WRONG!!  The size is still there and so is everything else. He just needs to adjust a few things over the next 5 weeks and he would be a different person. It's pretty simple. Why the Hell wait another year?  ???

I like Trey as a person, he's a nice guy but he needs to work on bringing up his chest, his back and getting rid of the gyno he managed to get since the Excalibur. Those aren't things that will change between now and the USAs. I give him props for getting in the condition he did compared to his guest posing but at 22-23 you have to also be concerned to what lengths he went through to get there.

Yep, the gyno has to go BUT while his chest and back are not the greatest they were not really a factor before as far as size goes. The reason they were at this last show is because a persons weak points are always the first to show when a person loses muscle mass. Another year of training will NEVER bring his back up, in fact he will never have a great back or chest. All he can do is bring it back to where it was before and maybe a tad more that is it. The amount of muscle that he lost recently is a very tmeporary thing due to extreme dieting and fat loss supps. Within a few weeks all will be back. ( no pun intended  ;D )

it's a mysterious phenomenon known in bodybuilding where test subject abuse obscene amounts of Growth hormone, IGF, Insulin and other peptides and as a results they get the classical symptoms of Polumboism..
