Actually I thought he was pro-size right away, and so did many others.  I replied that he looked about the size of Ronnie Coleman during his pre-Olympia years.  I did see your arm pic and it looked very good TBH, but not Tysonesque :)  Keep in mind the pic I posted is not an arm pose.  If you were to stand with your torso facing the camera and arms dangling your arms would look as massive as in the shot you posted.

Wrong forum for that tone :)

He reminded me the size of a big shot but lean shot putter etc. i was wrong and ill hold my hands up. In his comp pics he looks much bigger.

So you call me a retard? Class guy. Listen, I have been in street fights, worked as a bouncer for several years, taken formal fight training (varying disciplines), and still hold to my opinion. Doesn't warrant being called a retard. I know this is the norm around here: insulting anyone who dares utter a word.

I am no big fan of the UFC or "mixed martial arts" and do not own a Tapout shirt. But if I wanted to, I would. My opinion does not negate the impressiveness of a boxer and his skills. I merely believe extraordinary strength, power, size, and aggressiveness can do much to protect someone and inflict severe damage to another wishing to cause harm.

But as a person who has been in a fight or two, I can also state that, street fighting is very dangerous, and luck plays into success in a big way. A lucky punch or twist of the ankle can change outcome in the blink of an eye.

This is my opinion. I respect yours. Please do not call me a retard again.

lol.

that was way too easy.

anyway hun, you said bar fight, not street fight. if you were as keen as you say you are, you would know that these are two totally different worlds.

had you indeed worked in as many clubs as you claimed and had been in as many altercations in that environment, you would know that a bar fight is ALWAYS close contact, and that the first shot landed is in most cases the beginning of the end. and this instance, even a glancing blow from tyson would spell disaster for anyone, regardless of how heavily muscled that person may be.

next time, take a little more care when wording your posts and you won't be made a fool in the future.

Yes, it was easy. Uh, what was easy, exactly? Regardless, you've grown too pompous by "winning" all your altercations ... on Web sites. Big man. Oh, and still with the insults, eh? "Hun"? "Made a fool"? Look in a mirror. There's your fool.

calm down, nancy. calm down- i'm sure your keyboard is taking the brunt of your frustration right now and you sound like your blood pressure is at near fatal levels.

just because you got caught talking about something it's obvious you know nothing about, don't take it out on the one who points it out.

address your inadequacies and you'll be able to take criticism much better in the future, sweetheart.

If a full venom , ungloved, Tyson punch connected with Cormier's head, then he would be knocked the fuck out. He might even die. The guy can barely move..where's that Gladiators audition tape with CC struggling to even jog?

tyson did some weights work as part of his training regime but never took anabolics- the testing by the boxing authorities is too rigourous and frequent for Tyson to ahve done any cycles

his physique and low body fat is a result of boxing training

Holyfield may have used steroids to bulk up from cruiiserweight to heavyweight- he did train with lee haney, and during holyfields bulkup over 1 year he somehow lost his hair :P

the story goes Tyson came up to cormier- who was bouncing @ the nite club, slapped him hard on the back of the neck, and said "hes a big boy, he can take it".
cormier wouldve been knocked out cold b4 he could get his hands up to try to protect himself

The funny thing is I've read and heard Cormier talk about this incident like he would have taken Tyson on and whopped his ass... he even said that in his old column in MD once..ROFL, talk about delusions.

He would've been in a coma along with the rest of the security team, Tyson circa early 90's was a MONSTER.

bare-knuckled, Tyson would have demolished Cormier in about 2 seconds.  Cormier would have hurt his hand, had he connected with Tyson's head.  And Tyson, seeing a BIG untrained target without his guard up would deliver probably one punch and knock cormier out and likely have him hospitalized.  No doubt at all.

Oh but don't forget 240... Cormier wrestled in high school....and he's strong!  ::)  ::)

I think it's too close to call...a juiced up , big slow cumbersome bouncer vs. killing machine in his prime.

Why does everyone keep talking about Tyson in his prime? Why not talk about what he has become? What would he do now?

I'm assuming Tyson is natural since they do get drug tested.  Keep in mind he was not training to even be a bodybuilder yet is still more muscular than most people can get.

As natural as this..

This a a flyweight the shitty quality of the camera phone does not show the speed or power. this is him cruising not going full whack. Both men in this vid were irish champions at light flyweight/flyweight. The one holding the pads was also the 2006 UK BFL champion

Let me assure you when these men hit they hurt. their speed is unreal

Very true. Boxers possess ferocious striking power (baseball bat) when compared with a average joe (wiffle bat) who doesnt know how to throw a punch. There's a old saying in boxing - "One hit to quit 'em".  A boxer spends hours/days/years honing his punching skills + speed. I doubt Cormier's size would have saved him from Tyson (especially in his prime). All it takes is a couple of shots to end it. I wouldn't say Tyson would win 100% because anything can happen in a streetfight but Cormier would have a very very slim chance of coming out victorious. Wrestling skills or not going up against a pro boxer known for his knockout artistry is asking for trouble and a quick visit to the trauma center.  :D
