Anyone else work graveyard shift?

oh man 12 hour shifts. that would REALLY suck. i work 11:30 pm to 8:00 am. I'm finally get used to it but i literally have no interaction with other people besides at the gym and on getbig. fuck my life sucks.

doesage how do you feel when you get up in the afternoon? i feel terrible. fortunately my wife has worked nights so she is sympathetic toward me feeling like garbage. she knows to leave me alone for a couple of hrs. hard to train coming off nights. and to sleep thru the day ambien cr 12.5mg works great. along with some melatonin. try it if you have difficultly sleeping thru the day

yeah i feel like absolute garbage as well. . . on my days off i sleep for about 16 hours because I can't wake up. I don't have much trouble falling asleep when i get home in the morning but it's just hard as hell for me to get out of bed at night time.

The worst job I had in my life involved nightshifts - working as a night porter in a hotel when I was about 21. Worked 11pm til 7am and then trained in the gym straight afterwards - fucked up my bodyclock big-time. I only lasted six months doing it - never again.

graves is a great shift once you get used to it.

go home at 7 or 8 am. sleep till noon or 1pm. get up and you have the whole day to do whatever you want. grab a quick sleep for an hour or two around 8pm before you go back in so you are rested. also, you don't have to deal with traffic- it's usually heavy in the opposite direction to what you are travelling.

i'd rather have mon/tues off- weekends are so fucking busy with line-ups everywhere you go. traffic at malls is crazy. fuck that. and you still  have all day to chill on a patio and drink a few corona with your friends during the day on sat/ sun.

it's all about how you approach it mentally. say it sucks and it will. approach it positively and look at the benefits and you might end up liking it.

i'm at a point where i'd take static graves if it were offered to me.

It really takes a toll on the body clock.  I have cable tv and bring in my own laptop to play games and fuck off on getbig of course.

Like someone said earlier I would love to find a dayshift job where I get the same pay and not do shit and get off 4 days a week.  It's not out there though.
