Relson taught out of his house before UH when he lived right behind Kalani High.  I also helped Relson and got him a segment on Hawaiian Moving Company which really got his business going.

I have fond memories of that place.  Renzo like Benny opined was Craig's partner.  Relson and Rhalan were both by the academy last Monday.

As to the subject at hand, Prof. James makes many excellent points in that vid. IMO, the main difference between MMA and the street is that the former is a zero sum game with a winner and loser; the latter, you get want to get out unharmed and unarrested.

Agree with you here.  I helped a friend do a seminar on Tuesday at a Kajukembo school, where they only train for "street fighting."  My friend, Eric, a Mundial No gi champ, taught self defense from the Gracie playbook.  When we were doing defense against a guillotine, some of their blackbelts were doing the classic hand over the shoulder/hand on the leg to prevent "hipping in."  I tried to tell them that was good, but you still have to address the arm that is choking you (we were teaching them to put two arms on one, and dislodge the choking arm).  They espoused that they would punch the groin after using the one over, one under method.  So my friend has to give them an opportunity to try that against him, long story short, two blackbelts nearly lose conciousness while being choked by a brown belt in BJJ.  Same thing with the bearhug defense from the rear....  I never claimed BJJ/MMA is the best, but to discount it's effectiveness on an MMA board was trolling (IMHO).  Nobody has a monopoly on combat, there are are skilled practicioners at every range, weapon, etc.  That is why I still train in Kali, and well has practice Col. Coopers modern method of self defense with JMB's piece de resistance, the model 1911.

Or is he just tough on video without any resistance.  Do you have any footage of this guy in a real fight.  You must have.  Cause all the other videos you post of him shows nothing special.  Please post so we can see this unstoppable machine in action.  Thanks

Add Anderson to the list, as well a Pele, Murillo, Ze Mario.  Most of the top Brazillian's whether they be BJJ, Lutre Livre have both street, Vale Tudo, NHB and MMA experience.
