He's a trainer at the gym I workout at (Powerhouse) in West palm beach...One of the nicest guys you could ever meet. He decided to lay off competing for a while, since he doesn't have the sponsorship of Muscletech anymore. However, the gym just got bought out by some guys that own a Gold's franchise so I'm not sure if he'll be staying there or not. I've seen this guy move some very heavy iron. He's strong in just about evey lift you can think of.

Serious question: How did he obtain permission to live and work in the USA full time, did he pretend to be a Messican or what?

Marty was on the cover a few times of one those Bob Gruskin magazines...forgot the name of them. They usually featured some pretty good guys like Joe Meeko and Jeff King. Hey Moose, how are you feeling lately?

Marty lives in Palm Beach Gardens FL now (has a brother Pete),owns Fitness America gym (the old worlds gym)
Marty is a good friend and i also work with/for him (Marty won the AAU MR USA and also just turned pro in the IFBB at the 2007 Masters Nationals)

Probably Muscle Up-Marty and Pete both doing hands-on-hips shot ( Dr. Gordon Wong's mag) or Muscle Training Illustrated (Lurie's)

Gruskin's a good guy...he'd always photog my shows I'd promote and send me awesome photos of EVERY competitor, no charge

Yes

Those guys were all very heavy into deep, deep hack squats; Brignole...very, very ripped and Zane-like;Casey Kutchuryk-not pretty to look at but very dense and gnarly..actually got IFBB pro card; Pete Miller from Illinois gigantic but ultimately lacked enough detail, etc
