Exactly. Why throw up your hands and let the contest prep go down the tubes? You've already done the work...might as well showcase it and there are few places better than Vegas for that purpose.

they won't be able to change the date on their ticket. Cock-gobbler/thief/liar OP should have to refund all entry fees as well as cancellation costs for competitors flights.
