Point 1
History
I'm in the exact same postion as you though fast forward 2 months. The girl im seeing now was my first ever real g/f, we went out for 3 and a half years.
Point 2
Reason we finished (important)
Being my first gf i hadnt really grown up or had another relationship to compare it to, this intern always had me thinking what else was out there. Towards the end i wanted to see what else there was and she got tired of my lack of williness to settle down which slowly ended us. No bitterness or big row, just went seperate ways.
Point 3
Now
I didnt see her at all, not even to bump into for a chat in 5 years, then, ol' facebook came along and we we instant chatting for a bit, having a bit of a joke around about out sex life (it was never bad...ever). I never thought of anything deeper though. We decided to go to a drink to catch up. We both got on as if we never had a day apart and now 5 years on we are both confident, settled in ourselves and really comfortable round each other. Been back together about 6 weeks and though in most relationships this is the 'honeymoon period', this is not we've been through all this before and can honestly say for the first time ever this is where i belong.
Point:
If you were happy before and nothing tore you apart that could leave a life long bitterness or resentment, you owe it to yourself to find out where it could go otherwise you'll spend your entire life wondering 'What if?' ....................
