The problem most builders make is even though they look great they carb load, then carb deplete. If you look good, dont do anything drastic the week of the show, except cut back your sodium, and water intake.
I seen so many guys screw up the week of the show, by carb loading , cutting there water to low or try to use a diuretic and it flattens then out.Another real risky move is sodium loading, and creatine loading the week of a show.
Bob hit the nail right on the head, when he said just lower your carbs slightly, then raise then slightly.
This leaves little room for error.
If your not in shape come the week of the show, carb manipulation or diuretics wont do anything but make you look even worse.
I personally think that if you dieted correctly and put the work in you should look contest ready 2 1/2 weeks out.The only thing you should need to do is cut back the sodium, and the water, and your ready for the stage.
To many guys count on stupid ass rituals the week of the show, to make them look good.99% of the time these are the same jokers, that step on stage looking, flat, smooth or bloated.
