I live in Japan doing the same thing as you do ( I think). Trust, it's not that different here...in some ways it's worse than Korea, which is still developing, i.e. moving forward. Japan has been stuck in rut for decades now. They have an isolationist mentality and very little concept of the outside world. The majority of people tolerate foreigners, but racism exists here too. Luckily it's not overt, but it's there.

Having said that, I like it here for the most part. It really is a "you get out of it what you put into it" deal. If you can accept certain things, then you can live a perfectly fun and enjoyable life here.

The reason why these people become yakuza is not because of bad people they are, but they are poor people who received discrimination from Japanese society and they cant live without making a kind of organization to protect themselves.
So, Korean Yakuzas existance is due to the discrimiation by Japanese.
Their first generation was not coming to japan willingly but they came to japan as the slaves in world war II.
So its japanese fault.
