Then, there's the issue regarding lifetime "nattys" (as some call them) vs. former steroid users.
There are those who think that, if you've used steroids at all, you can no longer be considered "natural", no matter how long you've stopped using them.
If I'm not mistaken, the ANBC required a drug-free-for-life slate. Most natural organizations do not, which begs the question of how long must one be off anabolics to be considered "natural". Most organizations require 3 years; I believe the WNBF requires 7 years.
Personally, I think 5 years is good enough. The "natty-for-life" advocates are of the belief that former drug users (no matter how long they've been off) have an unfair edge, as remnants of 'roids in their system allow them to gain mass that lifetime nattys can't.
Former drug users would beg to differ, though, as they often lament about how hard they had to work to bring their physiques back to a level somewhat comparable to what they achieved, while using anabolics.
