Hello everyone! I will be Las Vegas this weekend for the NPC USA Bodybuilding and Figure Championships. As always I expect to see a ton of talent battling it out on stage for what I consider the “West Coast Nationals” as it seems to draw the most competitors from that region. I got a glimpse of some of the talent last weekend at the NPC Los Angeles Championships and can definitely say that the USA’s should be a great one to watch.

I really miss competing as an amateur as I had the most fun during that period of time between 2002 and 2004. I also miss being around the wonderful people of the sport and sharing my knowledge with them … attending the LA Championships last Saturday was a truly nice experience. I was able to catch up with old friends and make new ones in the process. My current physique is just about identical to what it was when I won earned my pro card back in 2004 at the Nationals. Attached are some photos that I took earlier, which is basically of me after 2 1/2 days of carb-depleting. No, I am not getting ready for a show. I am actually doing it as a show of my support for one of my good friends who is competing this weekend. I am also doing it to see how far I can push my “clean” physique. I am very pleased with how my body has responded to the challenge and it should inspire others to follow suit. Before anyone out there misconstrues me, THIS IS IN NO WAY AN ATTEMPT AT PASSING JUDGEMENT WITH ANYONE OR ANYTHING, it’s just an alternative to consider.

Bodybuilding has been good to me and I still love and believe what it really stands for … respect for, admiration for, and a celebration of life. I recently telephoned Jim Manion, NPC President and IFBB Chairman, to apologize and set the record straight as why I became disgruntled after most last pro show (2007 Europa Super Show). Mr. Manion has always been kind and respectful to me, so I do owe him an apology for offending him. He has worked tirelessly through the years to make bodybuilding as popular as it is today, and for that we all owe him a great deal of gratitude.

Make no mistake about this either, I AM NOT DOING THIS TO TRY TO GET BACK INTO PROFESSIONAL BODYBUILDING. I have retired and have no plans on returning to the competitive stage. However, I will always do my part to promote bodybuilding as best I can off the stage. I learned years ago to never say “never,” but for now I am content with being offstage. I know there will be some “a-holes” out there who will try to misconstrue my genuine and sincere apology to Mr. Manion as a way of “kissing ass” as many have done to get back into the scene. I was rash and too quick to pass judgement in attacking the organization as a whole. I should have taken my grievances to Mr. Manion personally instead of over-reacting as I did.

It was a meltdown based on the fact that I was angry with being left out on stage while everyone else got compared. Why the IFBB panel did this will remain a mystery until they speak out. I’m over it. Let’s just move on. There are some others who I don’t owe an apology to as they have attacked me verbally and are judged accordingly. John Lindsay describes the NPC and IFBB as a collective family. With this in mind, I am likened to the “wild child” who gets caught up in his emotions and reacts without rationale. Now that the dust has settled, I guess it time to come back home and be a part of the family again. I AM a bodybuilder … always have been … always will be!

It is with great hopes that Mr. Manion will call me or sit down with me to discuss what WE ALL can do to make bodybuilding shine brightly once again. My voice is one, but I do believe that I am just the beginning of a louder collective voice that will induce a positive change that will resound for years to come. I am a bodybuilder and I can’t change that, which is best supported by the popular bodybuilding phrase that states, “Once the bug bites you, you will never walk away the same … you will always have that itch.” As funny as it sounds, it is quite true. Bodybuilding is a choice to take care of you so you can take care of others around you. Win, lose, or draw, WE ALL should strive to communicate with others about, and be great examples of, how to live life to the fullest. Take care everyone and hope to see some of you in Las Vegas. Mr. John Lindsay ALWAYS attracts the best talent and does a phenomenal job of putting on the best show in town.

The meltdown and leaving Pro bodybuilding last year came when he lost his drug source.

Now today in the apology where is says his physique is back to where it was when he left after the meltdown just tells me he just found a good drug source again.

He is just a druggie back at his old habit again. Easy case.

Ok all of you so call mouths on this matter. Give the guy a break. He spoke his mind and he was a man about making amends. Most guy would have walked away, right or wrong. But Eryk was a very big man, by apologizing to a man his respects. Life isnt always black and white, sometimes we make a decision and believe in it, just to re-think our thoughts and change our minds. I'm sure all of the critics out there have been in his shoes before so don't throw stones, you are not perfect yourselves. It takes a Big Man to say he might have made a mistake. So wise up and learn a lesson from this. GET IT!

Most of the "critics" have been in his shoes when it comes to competing and they don't have meltdowns online. No one is claiming to be perfect and this isn't about anyone being perfect. It's about having complete disrespect for an organization that gave you a platform to become somebody. You're forgetting all the words that were spewed during the meltdown it wasn't just about judging.

Trust me folks … if I was taking as much as the typical pro, there would NO WAY I would be able to run 2-3 miles twice a day at a speed of 6.5 – 8.0 MPH … NO FRIGGIN' WAY! I have NEVER claimed to be 100% natural when I was competing, but I can say that NOW. Don't believe me? Who cares … YOU can keep thinkin' while I keep livin'. The world needs to know the REAL world of bodybuilding. I haven't had to substantiate much as the moronic bigots on GetBig.com have voluntarily done themselves in quite well. I was accused of using my son as an excuse to trash the industry. Let me get something straight right now … and I have said it many times before, competitive bodybuilding was a constant struggle for me … morally, ethically, and at the very least financially. Sure I knew taking performance enhancing drugs was dangerous to my health, but I justified it by taking less … sure I knew that it was "wrong" to take any drugs and jeopardize my health while working as a health and fitness professional, but I justified it by not pushing it on them … sure I knew that it would cost me rather than financially benefit me to participate, but I justified it by making it a marketing tool for my training business. It took me a while, but I realize it NOW … the cons outweigh the pros heavily. I enjoy competing, but only when it is competitive … not rigged. What happened in Dallas at the Europa Super Show was my epiphany to get out with my life while I could. My talents are not well-served in the IFBB. I am not saying that I am better than anyone else. I just have a lot more in my life that I want to, can, and WILL accomplish … WAY MORE! You have not heard the last of me as I will continue to thrive and be a better role model for not just my son, but others to emulate. I can not speak for everyone, but I will do my part to return the HEALTH to "health & fitness".

For the idiot who said that I was going to "deflate" after my competitive days … who are you fuckin' kiddin'? I don't ever get small … I actually get stronger and easily retain my muscle after pre-contest diets. "BIOTCH … go clean the diarrhea off that ass you call your mouth!" Since 2002, I have gained muscle every friggin' year … winning the NPC USA's in 2002 as a lightweight, the NPC Nationals in 2004 as a middleweight, and placing 8th as an IFBB Pro at the 2006 Ironman Pro Invitational at a bodyweight of 205. So stop trying to discredit my accomplishments … YOU NOR ANYONE ELSE CAN EVER TAKE THAT AWAY! Wait a second ... YOU BITCHES CAN HAVE IT ... I don't even want the "accomplishments". Fortunately there has been only one negative response and it was from someone who REALLY wants me to continue bodybuilding, so he resorted to calling me a "QUITTER!" Let me just say one thing in rebuttal … a "quitter" gives up without trying. I have simply walked away from a situation that is NEVER going to get better … only worse. Have I tried? Are you friggin' kiddin' me? How many more lives must be wasted … how much more shit must be abused before YOU ALL say enough is enough? Everyone else needs to listen up closely to my closing remark: "You have plenty to tell me … why not tell them (IFBB, NPC, Bodybuiding.com, etc.)?" Voice yourselves OR AT LEAST do not participate. Without YOU, there is NO SHOW! The "almighty" dollar runs the show ... cut it off and they will have to listen and respond. Knowing what is right and turning a blind eye and deaf ear to it implicates you as well to the atrocity. I am willing to bet most of those negative shit-talkers on GetBig.com do not even compete. Shame on the racists … shame MORE on those racists who are suppose to represent the whole … like you Bob Cicherillo. With that said, shame on Bodybuilding.com for pay-rolling Bob. In business, when you payroll someone to represent you, everything that they say and do implicates you directly until you take corrective measures to remove the tumor.
