Be careful which polls you read.
Also - nationwide polls don't mean much. Obama is leading in 5 states that Bush won. Mccain is leading in 1 state that Kerry won. Unless mccain can find a way to steal 4 states from Obama, he cannot technically win. State by state polls are how this election will be won. Right now, Obama leads 296 to 172 electoral votes, with 69 still undecided. Even if Mccain won ALL the close states, he'd still lose the overall by 50 electoral votes.
Mathematically, Mccain needs a miracle to win this.
BTW - FOX news polls exclude barr and nader, who consistetly take away 7% from mccain. Mccain drops from 44 to 38% when those two men are available options.
