I used to think I'd be hitting HRT as soon as I hit 35 or 40.

But man... prostate issues would be a bitch. Same with worrying about cancer, being dependent on HRT for life at that point (telling your nuts to retire, they're done forever, clomid ain't bringing back sperm at 50).

Im using your post to consolidate on this, hope that's cool. I was on HRT from age 41 til last year when my clinic was closed. Just finally found one last week and my test results were awful - test 168 (was 334 7 years ago) and IGF 55. I am going to qualify for 400 mg of test a week (which Im going to do) and 4 Iu's of Gh (which Id like to do but can't afford). The test should at least reverse the deterioration of the past couple years. I dieted for 24 weeks and was up to 2 hours a say of cardio, but my body just wasn't responding as it had. I also overdepleted trying to get ripped using the Palumbo diet- never again! Anyway, HRT is safe, the risks from low test (as I have) are actually worse, re cancer.

this guy gets my respect for being in the gym in his 50's or 60's, he may not look like a top level competitor or even like one of the better guys in any gym but he gets my respect.

You're gonna blame Palumbo's diet on your conditioning??? Dude...you are starting to sound like so many people I have competed against that look like shit...and try to find any and all excuses why you looked like shit. You dieted 24 fucking weeks....seeing yourself in front of a mirror every day....yet you still did the show. Did it not occur to you at at 8 weeks out you still looked like shit and would probably look like shit on stage? Seriously now....also, if the diet wasn't eliciting results that would CLEARLY be advantageous to you stepping on stage in SOME reasonable shape....why continue to use it?

im not blaming it, Im saying it didn't work as well as what Mike had me do. I am saying that being off HRT and being in a near state of pituitary shutdown left me looking worse, even though I was actually my biggest, 228 lbs (dieted down from 274)at 6'2" arms were 19 1/2 cold the week before the show. With a more normal hormone balance I should be much improved. As to looking like "shit", fuck you.

its ok, I looked drawn, from depleting and dehydration. If you see my offseason pics the wrinkles aren't there. Well except for two that I got from losinf 50 lbs in a month when my ex and I were divorcing.
