Interesting new study about obesity in different European countries.
It seems that the "Mediterranean diet" doesn't work that well anymore - at least not in Italy and Spain, where over 25% of the population is currently obese (BMI of 30 and over). Or maybe they don't use the Mediterranean diet anymore....
On the other hand, who would have thought that the Dutch and the Baltic states are among the least obese...
The attached shows two charts. Men on the left hand side, women on the right. The darker the country, the more obese. The bright beige countries did not provide data.
