HAHA

I thought in Canada you recieved more information and facts than the citizens in the United States?

We do, ...I might have been on vacation that week, ...or it might have been during a Canadian election and I never bothered to pay attention, ...or the news media might have censored the story to prevent possible copycats, ...or I might have just forgot? who knows who cares, who gives a poop?

Oh really?!?!?! ??? hmmm... are you saying that panhandling is a violent crime?

I'm in awe you actually asked something as stupid as that(in awe, but not surprised.)

You go on and on about Canada's universal healthcare and how all the people would be off the streets, blah blah when in fact Yonge Street is the worst place you would ever want to find yourself. The amount of mentally ill people in that city who have been shunned and live on the streets robbing and begging for money is like nothing I have ever seen.

I come to Toronto 3-5 times a year for business and I am at my happiest when I have to leave. No matter where you are, people accost you and beg for money, the city is run down and dirty and violent crime is rampant. And it doesnt matter what part of the city are in, its all the same. I usually stay at the Courtyard Marriott on Yonge street and the second I walk outside, there they are. Fucking panhandlers. "First Nations" teenagers stabbing each other. People walking around in a stupor talking to themselves. The streets are filthy, garbage everywhere. The only nice place to eat in Toronto, the Elephant and Castle, is lined with beggars the moment you walk outside.

Horrible, horrible city.

Dont believe any of Jag's bullshit.

What do you expect. You're right next to the drop-in and outreach centers.

If I visited your city and set up home next to the sewage treatment plant, even I'd know why everything stunk.

Maybe you ought to stay over at the Four Seasons, Hotel Intercontinental and you might see a different side of TO

You don't even have to go that far, ...just take it 1 block west and stay at the Sutton Place. It's a whole other world.

Its the same EVERYWHERE. And location is not the purpose of my post.

It just goes to show how fucked up an individual you are to piss and moan about how evil the States is, when your city is the asshole of the world. You rant and rave about socialized medicine and how it benefits all, yet of all the cities I go to each year, Toronto is without a doubt the worst. I have never seen so many people just thrown to the wolves.

The one redeeming quality about the panhandlers(and my God there are TONS of them) is that some of them are funny. If they make me laugh, they get a Toonie. Nobody else in Toronto seems to give a damn about them.

It's not the same everywhere. if you move in next door to the mission, the homeless soup kitchen, and the homeless shelter, would you not expect to find that a large proportion of those you would find in the area are the homeless, foodless etc., etc.,

The only ranting and raving going on is being done by you.

You haven't been looking in too many places then huh? pssst: have you seen your own backyard lately?
How are those tent cities making out? ...you know the ones make up of former hardworking homeowners who got turfed out of their homes. I'll admit alot of runaways and lazy indigents gravitate towards big cities like TO, but how screwed up is a society when honest hardworking people end up in that situation?

LOL at blaming it on the Conservatives. TO is a shithole no matter who is in power. Liberals? Shithole. NDP? Shithole. Tories? Shithole.

You like to dish it out Jag, but one can almost hear you snap when somebody points out how utterly full of shit you are.

Maybe when you fix your own problems you can earnethe right to talk about the problems in other countries. You're such a hypocrite.

I'd say more conservatives own guns LEGALLY than liberals.  But if you walk down to Scarborough or Jane-Finch and ask the criminals there if their guns are registered and legal, you'd get a different answer.

If you don't know the background, you really shouldn't comment Tapper.
Why do you suppose voters of Ontario turfed out the Conservatives and gave the liberals a majority?
How do you suppose the liberals could break campaign promises within weeks of being elected, and get re-elected?
how do you suppose that the liberals got re-elected despite everything that has been taking place?

It's because the Conservatives screwed up this province beyond all recognition. The Liberals predicted exactly what would happen under a conservative agenda, ...and guess what, ...it happened. Now the people of Ontario know better, and are doing everything to make sure the conservatives don't screw things up even worse.

Their guns are all legal and registered too. The problem is they're legal & registered to American gun owners.  ;D

Why do you suppose voters of Ontario turfed out the Conservatives and gave the liberals a majority? Because TO is a bastion of liberalism. You know that.
How do you suppose the liberals could break campaign promises within weeks of being elected, and get re-elected? Because politicians lie. You dont actually believe what a politician tells you, do you Jag? You do, dont you? ;D
how do you suppose that the liberals got re-elected despite everything that has been taking place? See above reply. Nice to see you admit the Liberal gov't is full of shit too. You make this a load of fun for me when you lose your temper. ;D

Gotta love the American "blame someone else" mentality.  People go off of welfare and other forms of public assistance everyday and don't start blowing people away in churches.  This man was a psychotic criminal murderer.  So if he did get his food stamps for a while longer, this same story would've just happened later rather than now.  He was a ticking time bomb, and any sort of life obstacle thrown his way probably would have set him off at some point.

I've read several major news media outlet articles on this and not one mentioned this maniac being on any sort of medication.  It's a glaring omission, and at his age, would've been otherwise remarkable that he wasn't on some sort of prescription drug.  One thing that few media sources bother to correlate between the major school shootings within the US is that the shooters are prescribed various drugs for questionably diagnosed disorders.  So, I'm hoping there is more to this story as to his possible drug usage.

This man was not a Christian, btw, nor was the church a true Christian church.  Proclamation of one's self as a Christian does not necessarily make him one.

depends on how you look at it, on paper i would definitely agree that more conservatives on guns than liberals but if you take in all the illegal guns and who owns those probably about equal.

That doesn't sound very informed to me.  In fact it sounds fairly assumptive based on personal bias.  nothing personal, but it does.

Isn't there an actually study some place?

how about ppl who perform criminal activity of any kind and either cant obtain one legally or dont want a trail leading back to them b/c of their illegal activities? Along those lines what economic/social class, race, age are those individuals likely to be? and further more what political party do those individuals normally align themselves with?

I dont think this is any more of an assumption than saying conservatives probably own more guns than liberals b/c the NRA is made up primarily of conservatives.
