Seriously Moosejay, re-wrap the bandage... wait a couple of minutes then press down on one of the fingernails of the bandaged hand. If the fingernail doesn't go white when depressed or doesn't return to a healthy pink immediately upon the release of pressure, then the bandage is wrapped too tightly.
Also watch to see if the veins on the back of the hand and/or the arteries leading into the wrist are depressed or squashed by swelling (ie: does the hand remain purple in all various articulations? Hold each for 5 mins to see if this is the case... right angle, fingers straight... hand and fingers straight... semi-closed fist... goosenecked hand etc etc etc)
Then vote for Obama... once your HMO see that pic they'll deny your coverage and universal healthcare will be your only hope.
