Will Michael Phelps Get Caught?

The guy eats, sleeps and breathes swimming. Lives by himself in Ann Arbor and spends his entire day eating, training or sleeping with a few other Americans in Club Wolverine.

  Coach and BF are exactly right.  You can't knock the amount of training he does.  Before anyone says anything about the calories, he does take in quite a few in liquid form.

No doubt, people winning olympia medals are amazing physical specimins.  no doubt they out-train everyone, they are driven beyond belief, and they live for this stuff.  No doubt they've been doing it for their whole lives and would still be world-class athletes without drugs.

However, if you were going to pick out the random guy winning piles of gold medals, and you had to bent the rent check on whether or not his coach might adminsiter test or gh or something for recovery at some point during the year... well, smart money would be on "not natural".

Sure, it's possible that Phelps is all natural.  Just not likely.  It would make him the most amazing physical specimin ever - surrounded by athletes using drugs.  Sure, it's possible.  Statistically, not probable.  Until they have a hgh test, which they don't have now, these guys will have recovery help that is absolutely undetectable.  Does Phelps choose to do the right thing and avoid an undetectable drug which can help him recover faster from his 5-hour training regimens?  We don't know that.

I love how if anyone does anything positive, they are juiced to the gills. Just another example of insecure bb fans, unable to accept that someone could do something without some sort of illegal aid. Phelps has the perfect body for swimming, and he dedicated his life to it. Sometimes, if someone is freaky good at something, and they dedicate their entire life to that endeavour, they can be the best in the world at it.

I can say with confidence that Babe Ruth was not on riods, and the same goes for Jim Brown and Ted Williams.... How where they so good at what they did? Shit, Ruth could have been BETTER at what he did, if he dropped a few pounds. Drugs are a huge part of sports, but Phelps has been an amazing swimmer since he was a kid. He is getting better as he matures. He's not on juice.

So you think anyone who breaks records is juicing? One thing I don't think very few undertand is that EVERYONE who is an Olympian has either has a type A personality or an amazing will to succeed. IMO, Phelps carries that just that much farther than anyone else. Like Lance Armstrong, he's been tested over and over and over again. 9 Golds and how many world records?? and you don't think he would have already been caught?

well armstrong is really a bad example, since he s been on steroids to cure his cancer.

Phelps has excellent genetics for swimming.  They were showing him swimming with an underwater camera, and it shows you how extremely flexible his body is.  Very smooth through the water.  So he has the awesome genetics for swimming to go along with a great work ethic.

Great for Phelps and he is an amazing athlete but I always envisioned the top Olympian to be a decathlon champion or track and field. More of an all around athlete.
