His theory of calories being more important than the micronutrient was pretty accurate. NBC showed a video of Michael Phelps yesterday and how he burns over 2000 calories a day swimming. He pretty much eats shit food and yet has no fat on him. They showed him eating greasy crap and he claims that he can't eat enough to put on weight. For those counting every gram of protein and carbs should be more concerned with calories.
Phelps isn't concerned about calories either. He just eats as much as he can, as often as he can and swims 5 hours a day.
Phelps is nowhere near the condition of a bodybuilder in competition mode. Laws change beneath 10% BF.
I read an interview with Dean Karnazes where he said that when doing a 100 mile run etc he stuffs his face with pizza and other junkfood, as it is the only way to get the 10,000 calories down his neck. He does eat clean the rest of the time, however.
I don`t agree. Thermodynamics is something nobody can defy.
some eat while running, burgers etc
Yeah, that's what he said. Even claims to be able to nap whilst running ultra-marathons.
I think unless you're swimming 4 miles a day like a world class swimmer you should focus on your macro nutrients if only to be disciplined and healthy.
Phelps is probably on more stuff than Ronnie Coleman in his prime.
phelps is 19 dudes! he's a testosterone pumping machine, and has a huge appetite and fast metabolism.
True Adonis has never come up with an orignial thought.
Wow. I havent been on this site in a year and there is still a thread about True Adonis and his groundbreaking nutritional theory.BTW, there is more to health than weight/body fat. Eat your vegetables, go easy on dairy, minimum processed food, etc
