Who says Obama never lied?

 ::)

i was replying to 240's comment and question that he does not trust people who lie, yet he believes obama is a better candidate than mccain because mccain lied to his wife...so, this means one assumes that since 240 doesn't trust people who lie, then he believes obama has never lied.

I think it's silly to think any politician is free from lying.

One guy in the this forum even suggested that McCain has lied fewer times than Obama.  Who knows?

But it's still lying, or cheating or what ever, and it's not a character trait we should should tolerate in any of our elected representatives regardless of what has happened in the past.

True.

A politician votes on two issues. A group that does not support his/her views starts to air their discontent and displeasure with the vote.

The politician, knows he/she is in the wrong, and says they did not vote that away "and they are misconstruing the truth, and while I don't like calling anyone liars, they are liars"

Isn't that a double whammy lie?

good luck getting rid of lying in politics..

fact is..no presidential candidate determines your fate...you determine your own fate --well, one caveat to that would be some sick, demented guy dropping nukes on countries--then all our fates are sealed..but i think we have enough evidence to believe that something like this cannot and will not happen--so, i get back to my point that no guy in office determines how my life is---so obama did blow..big deal..and mccain cheated on his wife...big deal..or mccain forgets how many houses he owns..and obama forgot to leave a church with some radical, black liberation theology pastor presiding..so what??

Yes, very calculated.

Cheating constitutes her not knowing correct?

They both knew the marriage was over. By that time he had already moved to AZ. He was and still does to this day take care of her medical bills.

‘My marriage ended because John McCain didn’t want to be 40, he wanted to be 25. You know that happens...it just does.’

Some of McCain’s acquaintances are less forgiving, however. They portray the politician as a self-centred womaniser who effectively abandoned his crippled wife to ‘play the field’. They accuse him of finally settling on Cindy, a former rodeo beauty queen, for financial reasons.

When McCain – his hair turned prematurely white and his body reduced to little more than a skeleton – was released in March 1973, he told reporters he was overjoyed to see Carol again.  But friends say privately he was ‘appalled’ by the change in her appearance.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1024927/The-wife-John-McCain-callously-left-behind.html

Ross Perot paid for Carol's medical bills while McCain was away.  Here's what Ross Perot had to say about John McCain:
McCain "is the classic opportunist--he's always reaching for attention and glory. Other POWs won't even sit at the same table with him."
When McCain's then-wife Carol was in a serious car accident, McCain's mother called Perot for help. "She asked me to send my people to Philadelphia to take care of the family," Perot says. Afterwards, McCain was grateful. "We loved him [Perot] for it," McCain told me in 2000.

Perot doesn't remember it that way. "After he came home, he walked with a limp, she [Carol McCain] walked with a limp. So he threw her over for a poster girl with big money from Arizona [Cindy McCain, his current wife] and the rest is history."
"There's evidence, evidence, evidence," Perot claims. "McCain was adamant about shutting down anything to do with recovering POWs."

But the president or elected representatives have major influence in the fate of our country and in turn that affects us.  It doesn't determine our fate, of course in most instances, but it does make harder or easier in that regard.

Anyone catch the CNN "McCain releaved"?

When he met his new wife in hawaii, he was still married.  He lied to the new girl about his age.  He applied for a marriage licence in AZ before his old marriage was over.

CNN asked them both about all his lies.  "I take responsibility for that" was his standard answer.  It was a little uncomfortable watching the interview.  CNN's John King saying "what about this lie?" about 15 times.  Mccain just saying "I take responsibility...next..."

Obama is 47.   Mccain had dozens of affairs by this point in his life.  I think if Obama had such a slutty background, it would be an issue in the campaign for a lot of people.

On what basis do you conclude "McCain had dozens of affairs" by the time he was 47?

how's ozmo say it, kill or be killed or some shit like that?  yea, he warned against this stuff but you can't expect him to take the fall because we didn't listen.  He's a businessman.  I'm betting there are several businesses that didn't like moving shit overseas, but once the ball starts rolling, you compete or sink.  I'm betting this is not what Perot wants to happen.  It is what's happening.

I don't think I make shit up... When I have solid info I post it and when I have an opinion, it's posted as such.  I do make up my opinion, just like everyone else, but it's just an opinion, no different than anybody else with a different opinion.

McCain spent 5.5 years in a Hanoi prison camp, I think it gives him the pass.

Unless 240, thinks he can serve in a prison camp, come back to the United States, and live just as he did when he left, and be the same person he was before going to war.

it doesn't give him a pass and it shouldn't. That's a cop out. This whole idea gives him the ability to do what he wants. Then people make excuses for him like you just did. You're a useful idiot.

do you honestly know if he is the same after he came back? you only know what you have been told and you are spewing the same shit you have heard over and over again

He admitted it on the CNN show last night.  dozens of affairs over several years.  he would live aboard for a year at a time away form home and just had a ball.

It's not a huge deal, but if Obama banged 10+ women after getting married, the neocons would be all over his ass.

I just read the transcript.  You took a snippet from the interview and completely distorted it.  The discussion was largely about his time as a POW and his progression as a person and legislator after his military service.  Your quote does not exist.

He didn't say "next."   ::)  Here is the quote:

"MCCAIN: I take full responsibility for the break-up of my first marriage. And I'm very grateful for the fact that Carol and I have a good relationship."

Dang dude.  I just read the transcript.  It was Larry King, not McCain, who said this:

"KING: The age disparity -- she is 17 years younger -- was the least of their worries. McCain was still married to Carol McCain. Their daughter Sydney was 12 years old.

The marriage was in trouble. He had been having affairs for several years. KING (on camera): And how does it sit with you? To those who have over the years have said, John McCain comes home from Vietnam, you know, leaves his wife, then marries this younger, beautiful, wealthy woman."

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0808/20/cp.01.html

Now perhaps I missed it.  I included the link (above).  Sounds like you just made stuff up (again).  But I will retract and apologize if it is in the link I just posted.
