We have never said that the suicide was wrong.
Evrything is beyond correct or wrong.
Just we say we had better if we can avoid.
And better respect the death.

So you see no problem with people spending say 10 years of extremely painful existence on machines, stuck in a hospital, just waiting for an end to the pain, rather than being compassionate and ending the pain in order to prevent further suffering. I agree with you here. I also believe that suicide is an viable option for some (all?). When life becomes more of struggle than an enjoyment, why prolong it? People will say 'oh, that's selfish, etc.' but I don't agree.
