As far as the needle and thread, my mother always taught me to be prepared, and Yes I know how to use a sewing machine. Be it electric or the old style ones (I kinda forgot them)

Working on getting better.  Radiation on Oct 6th and hopefully...I'll be good to go.      But in the interim, I'm tired, moody, cold, hot, can't see, puffy, nauseous, just all in all crappy feeling.
