As ready as Obama.  She at least spent some time in charge of a state national guard.

Has Obama even served in the Boy Scouts?   ::)

It's even laughable for anyone who says Obama is not ready to lead to suggest Palin should be near the VP spot.

Discount the Mayor of a 8,000 town where she appeared at ceremonies and went to meetings a few times [per their website said that was the duties] she has 18 months of being Governor of a small state. Obama has years in both senates.

She has one degree from some regualar Idaho college, he has 2 from the Ivy leagues.

Her prior work history was as a local sports news reader and fisherwoman - his was as a lawyer, college professor, author and organiser.

It's one or the other - they are both fit, or neither is. To say she is, while he is not is so erratic it doesn't bear discussion really.

No way is she ready

Being de facto "commander in chief" of the Alaska National guard doesn't mean shit and I can't believe any republican would even bother mentioning something so laughable but I guess that's all they've got to work with so they try to convince themselves that it's meaningful.

She has 6 years of part-time mayor of a town of a town of 9000, and 18 months as the governor of the smallest population state in the USA.

Obama spent seven years in the Illinois senate, two years a U.S. senator, authoring 900 bills and co-authoring 1000.  He's also served on the senate foreign relations committee.

He did not write 900 bills in the senate nor did cowrite another 1000.
He only voted 340 times in the US senate and did not vote 240 times.

Obama has no experience except running for president.

So you disagree with 240?

But, Bill Clinton claimed that experience didn't matter, as those same charges of lack of experience were lobbed at him back in 1992. Obama echoed those same sentiments.

Now, they have the gall to talk about how much experience is important to being president.

The funniest part of it all is that the more experienced of the two senators is at the BOTTOM of the Democratic tickets. And, the best OVERALL experienced senator isn't on the ticket at all.

If the Dems want to go there, the GOP will carve them up at their convention.

And......

He has NOT run a government; Palin has. And need I remind you that the last two presidents (Bush and Clinton) were both governors.

Biden has WAY more experience than Obama does; so does Clinton (both by a country mile). So why is their LEAST EXPERIENCE GUY at the top of the Democratic ticket?

She ran the smallest population state's govt for a year and a half.

She had time to fire a brother-in-law for pissing off her sister, and have a baby, in the last year.  She faces impeachment later this year possibly for the firing thing.

She's not qualified enough.  She's just not.  There are dozens of republicans who are more qualified.  She was selected by Mccian for her looks and gender, to woo hilary voters.

I don't think ANY repub will look you in the eye and tell you she was the most qualified of the bunch.  People on far-right radio... Ingraham, beck,. limbaugh, and hannity (i'm addicted to FOX radio lately) are calling in... many of them are just baffled by the choice.  She's not as qualified as many of the folks in the running for it.

She ran the smallest population state's govt for a year and a half.

That means she's run one more government than either Obama or Biden.

She had time to fire a brother-in-law for pissing off her sister, and have a baby, in the last year.  She faces impeachment later this year possibly for the firing thing.

No, the charge is that she had someone else fired, because that guy didn't fire her ex-brother-in-law (her sister's ex-husband). Thus far, Palin is in the clear.

She's not qualified enough.  She's just not.  There are dozens of republicans who are more qualified.  She was selected by Mccian for her looks and gender, to woo hilary voters.

This is a problem because.......especially considering that Hilary is more qualified than EITHER Obama or Biden; yet, she ain't on the ticket AT ALL.

McCain went with the sexy pick.....LITERALLY and FIGURATIVELY!!! And, it basically lowered the boom on the Democrats, virtually taking away the spotlight from Obama's magnificent speech at the DNC. That should be the political headliner this weekend.....BUT IT AIN'T!!!

Two words: WHERE'S HILARY??

Baffled? Perhaps a better term (for many) would be "pleasantly SHOCKED"

Wow. How elitist is that?

Do you think it really matters where they go to college? Is your MBA worth less because it didn't come from an Ivy League school? I bet you'd want to punch anyone in the neck that looked down their nose at you because of something as lame as that.

It's simple: Do they or do they not have the stones, wisdom, and leadership skills to lead the free world?

No authoring something that is not voted has no impact on America and no bearing on governning.

Governing means writing legislation that pases into law.

The Dems have had congress and Senate for 2 years maybe he could have tried  writtng something that passed into law.

Or maybe even tried voting a time or 2.
