Palin is a fun story, but in statistical analysis of state-by-state electoral votes, Obama actually didn't lose any ground from her nomination.  He's sitll on track to win by 30 to 60 electoral votes.

Of course, anything can happen.  But if the election were held today, Obama would win.  national polls don't matter - only state-by-state electoral college votes.  And in those, obama is very strong.  See www.pollster.com for a cool flash breakdown on states.

Definetly true, that is why I think Obama still wins. Yet there are enough states still up in the air that Mcain  still has a chance.  I know for many republicans who are voting Mcain just to "not vote Obama" Palin has been a revitalizing choice.  Same thing can happen in the electorate.

McCain wouldn't have standing to sue for the statement made with respect to Mr. Pallin.  Mr. Pallin would have to file the suit.  And given the evidence, it doesn't look like he will sue.

1) mainstream media never ran the baby not hers story.

2) It was never debunked - she simply removed the birth certificate from state record and purged the hospital records.

Media is leaving the issue alone while investigators do their work.  It it's her baby, and she wanted 17 hours after WATER BREAKING to give a speech and take a flight, then she's the most ireesponsible parent in modern history.
