Alright here is the deal. I am 5'9'' and usually weigh aruond a lean 180-185. I came down with Meningitis (luckily it was just viral) and got real sick and was in the hospital for a few days.
Anyway, I obviously must have lost some weight during the ordeal and a couple days after I got back i weight myslef--166!!! I haven't been that light since i was like 17 (8 yeras ago). It is depressing to thikn of all that muscle that whither away in such a short time. Obviously I don't think all that weight I lost was muscle but I'm sure a decent amount was.
Has anyone had to deal with a sickness like that? is it hard to get back to where you were before?
For awhile I had been on a 4 lifting workouts a week split (Chest-tris, back abs, off, legs/bi's, shoulders/traps)
I thikn now would be a good time to switch to a different kind of workout until i get back to a solid base. Maybe one of those Push/Pull/Leg splits? or something where I hit each bodypart not as intense but twice a week?
Do you guys have any suggestios for coming back or for a solid workout plan to follow for th efirst month or so?
I really appreciate any help.
thanks
