Hulkster and his sycophants don't seem to comprehend that resorting to ad hominem invective is an automatic admission of defeat. Why? Because when you can't retort to a man's arguments, the only thing left to do is to try to discredit his arguments by putting into question the man's character and capabilities. That, of course, invalidates the man's arguments by default. The rationale is this:
"I can't reply to anything he said and everything he says seems very plausible, but since my opponent is a (insert pejorative adjectives) then any argument he makes is immediately suspect because he lacks the intellectual capability of being right on any issue, and his character is ignobile so he has ulterior motives for making these arguments other than a genuine desire to elucidate the truth."
As Plato said twenty four centuries ago, making ad hominem attacks is the lowest that anyone can go in an argument, because it means that one is willing to insult his opponent's honor because he can't directly counter the opponent's arguments with logic. That is, it is both an admission of intellectual as well as moral superiority of the opponent. Why? First, because by resorting to ad hominem you are admitting that your opponent's arguments are too plausible and logical and that you lost the discussion since you can't counter them, and of the moral superiority of the opponent because you are willing to resort to crossing the line and attacking his honor in a last desperate attempt to win the argument and save face instead of gracefully admitting defeat like a man. Shame on you, Hulkster. Whether or not one agrees or disagrees with ND, he is a true gentleman and has showed for you a respect that you never retributed, and he has behaved with far more dignitas than all of you Ronnie supporters. He never posted insulting pictures of Ronnie like you do to Dorian, and he never insulted Ronnie verbally like you do to Dorian either.
